    Compassionate staff, home-like, highly recommended

I'm grateful for the compassionate, professional staff - nurses, CNAs and therapists who settled my mom, helped her recover and get back home; the gorgeous building (4th-floor water view), activities and home-like feel made her stay easier. Most caregivers were attentive, quick to answer questions and truly went above and beyond, though we did notice occasional understaffing and a few isolated food/care concerns; overall I highly recommend this facility.

    About Royal Megansett Nursing Home

Royal Megansett Nursing Home sits on County Road in North Falmouth, MA, and folks have always said it feels a bit like stepping back in time since the building used to be a pretty grand old seaside hotel, which means there's still that big great room when you come in and often the place fills up with light from sweeping views over Megansett Harbor and Buzzards Bay, and there are these 28 private rooms along with some third-floor apartments for assisted living, many with water views and a homelike feeling. Residents can get nursing home care around the clock, and there's always an attending physician, so no one has to worry about being alone in an emergency, and if something more is needed, the phone doctor telemedicine service helps too. Folks can choose short-term rehab after illness or injury with physical, occupational, speech, and pulmonary therapy, plus there's post-acute care and cardiac recovery, stroke care, wound care, and both palliative and respite care if someone needs a break or a shorter stay.

Royal Megansett also has memory care for Alzheimer's or dementia, and families do say the staff are caring, like Ashley F. the CNA people mention a lot. Seniors who live here can count on laundry, meals, cleaning, shopping, snow shoveling, and rides for appointments and errands, so luckily that part's all handled. Meals come three times a day, with a focus on healthy, tasty food, and there's a dietician for anyone needing special advice. If someone needs hospice, Trinity Hospice is available nearby. Folks can also join activities and programs for social time, which helps with making friends or just staying busy, and there's always a nice stretch of well-kept lawn outside for some fresh air. The environment is friendly and the staff gets good reviews, and the facility itself is known for consistently passing state and federal inspections, holding a solid five-star rating and even TJC accreditation, which isn't something every place can say. Ratings from people who've reviewed Royal Megansett range from 3.7 to 4.0 stars across different sites, and prices aren't listed out in the open, but the focus really seems to be on providing honest, dependable care rather than fuss and frills.
