    About Peregrine's Landing At Tewksbury

Peregrine's Landing At Tewksbury, now closed, was a senior living community at 2580 Main Street in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, serving older adults with a mix of care options like assisted living, memory care, respite care, and hospice. The place had 79 assisted living units and offered studios, shared apartments, and one-bedroom floor plans, so residents could choose the living style that fit them best, with some studios big enough to fit a full-size bed, two nightstands, and a recliner, and the rooms got plenty of natural light thanks to double windows. Residents got help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, moving from place to place, and managing medications, and the community also handled things like housekeeping, laundry, linen service, and scheduled transportation, and folks could go out for shopping or appointments. Meals were prepared by chefs and menu planners, and all meals, snacks, and special diets were taken care of in the communal dining room, and there was always coffee, a snack shop for treats, and a registered dietitian to help make sure nutrition needs were met. The inside looked like a small neighborhood, with its own coffee shop, movie theater, chapel, game room, sports room, and spots for entertainment, reading, computers, and arts and crafts, and residents also used high-speed internet, DIRECTV, wireless services, and furnished living spaces with working telephones. There were outdoor gardens, a courtyard, walking paths, and a spot for pets, since the policy did allow pets and even featured accessible showers for ease, plus parking and a place to sit or stroll outside. Activities kept people engaged and included exercise classes, games, crafts, spiritual groups, and movie nights, and the community had Life Enrichment programs using hands-on techniques, Montessori Moments in Time™ Memory Care, and Validation strategies to help with memory care, reduce agitation, and support better communication, and residents got personalized care plans. Services also included help with incontinence, manual feeding if needed, bathroom reminders, and wellness checks like routine health assessments, with a 24/7 staff presence that offered emergency response, a security system, and supervision. The staff had experience and training in dementia care, and their approach focused on purpose, belonging, and supporting the abilities and interests residents still had, and they also made sure the place stayed clean with furniture that wasn't fabric and surfaces being wiped down often. Families could join for education or outreach, and medical support was thorough, with nurses, therapists, and help for psychiatric needs. The facility held daily events meant to boost social, emotional, mental, and physical wellness, so residents had options for a relaxed or active way of life, and there were no smoking policies in place, both for private and public areas. Peregrine's Landing At Tewksbury won some awards over the years, like Best of Senior Living and the Best of Senior Living All Star, and it was often known for a staff that was friendly, kind, and helpful, with a focus on comfort, safety, and keeping life as enjoyable and supportive as possible for all residents.
