    Caring staff, inconsistent night care

I placed my mom in this small, well-kept home run by Amanda because the staff were loving, compassionate, kept her active and social, and hospice made her last days comfortable - we felt like family and I'm grateful for the care. The meals and surroundings were lovely, but there were management/staff inconsistencies and nighttime call bells were sometimes ignored, so it's best suited for more independent residents.

    About Cedar Creek of Hastings

Cedar Creek of Hastings sits on a single-story building at 2895 M-79 in Hastings Charter Township and has a homestyle, family atmosphere where residents get care that feels compassionate and personal, with round-the-clock support from trained staff who know how to help with the daily tasks seniors face, and you can see folks enjoying cozy spaces, both inside and out, with welcoming courtyards, comfortable common areas, and even a community dog that often brings smiles. The facility offers assisted living, memory care, and independent living, along with skilled nursing for those who need it, and has special memory care units for residents with memory problems, including programs meant for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, all under the watchful eyes of 24-hour security cameras, entrance alarms, and full sprinkler systems to keep people safe.

Residents here use personalized care plans tailored to their needs, which include medication coordination, on-site medical assistance, wellness and fitness programs, and help with daily routines like bathing or dressing if someone needs it, plus transportation services get people to appointments or events when needed. Meals are prepared three times a day to meet different diets, and healthy snacks are offered too, with the kitchen focused on keeping everyone both satisfied and healthy. There are plenty of activities to pick from, including monthly themed crafts, daily fitness classes, creative workshops, social gatherings, and spiritual opportunities, while the grounds and inside spaces give plenty of room to join in with others or find a quiet corner when you want time for yourself, and the place stays clean and comfortable with regular housekeeping, laundry, and trash removal.

Cedar Creek of Hastings often schedules resident and family meetings where everyone gets updates and has a chance to talk about how things are going, which helps everyone feel included and respected, and there are wellness and recreational programs that let residents keep learning and enjoy new experiences. Memory care has its own neighborhoods with secure access and enhanced safety features, so those who need extra help can still move around and feel at home, and you'll find emergency response systems along with heat and smoke detection throughout the whole building. The staff is available 24/7, so whether someone needs help at night or just some company in the afternoon, someone is always nearby, and Cedar Creek of Hastings is also licensed through the State of Michigan. The place tries to make life easier for seniors by letting them enjoy a maintenance-free lifestyle without worrying about home upkeep or safety, with services and resources focused on supporting both independent living and those who need more care, and residents enjoy both comfort and dignity in a community that values each person's needs.
