    Warm staff, home-like caring community

I moved my mom to Lakeview Terrace and overall we're very happy. The staff are warm, attentive, and treat residents like family; the place is clean, home-like and spacious with excellent meals, lots of fun activities (music, outings, pets, ice cream/snacks) and quick responses to concerns. Onboarding/communication at move-in could be clearer, occasional short-staffing occurs, and monthly costs have risen, but the caring team and strong sense of community made this the right choice for us.

    About Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living

Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living offers a quiet and supportive setting where seniors can find help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, and managing medicine, and there's always staff available, day or night, to give a hand or respond if someone needs help. The community serves chef-prepared meals every day, using fresh and local ingredients, and there's always something for different diets, with restaurant-style dining and choices at each meal. Residents can pick from several apartment layouts, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom options, all with wheelchair access, walk-in showers with safety bars, and their own kitchenettes, while housekeeping and laundry services keep things tidy and handle most chores. The place is set up to make getting around easy, whether a person uses a wheelchair or just needs a little help, and there are wide indoor walking areas for exercise and socializing inside, plus landscaped and peaceful outdoor spaces and terrace areas for fresh air or relaxing with a pet, since pets are welcome too.

Lakeview Terrace includes a full calendar of activities and fitness programs, with things like grocery trips, movie nights, live music, exercise classes, theme parties, bingo, coloring, and tours, and there are also group gatherings in indoor communal spaces, a library and business center, and a beauty salon and barbershop right on site. The staff tries to shape activities and services based on what residents and their families say works best. The place is set up as a Continuing Care Retirement Community, so it covers many needs, from Active Adult and Independent Living, to Enhanced Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, and even nursing home services for those who need higher-level care, with specialized programming for memory care to help keep routines steady and prevent confusion.

Lakeview Terrace is known nationally for its senior living services, winning awards for quality care, the friendly and helpful team, and a strong calendar of activities that help people stay active and engaged. The main focus is to let seniors enjoy retirement without the worry of home maintenance or personal safety, giving families peace of mind with a 24-hour response system and licensed staff for care and healthcare provider coordination, all in an environment that aims for comfort, friendliness, and strong relationships between residents and staff. The community is checked by outside reviewers through A Place for Mom's biannual process, making sure standards are kept up each year. Tours are available and show daily life, so people can see the rooms, eat in the dining area, and watch the activities to get a feel for the community before making any decisions.
