    Friendly staff, beautiful facility, safe

I moved my mother here and, after a short adjustment period with a few issues, the hardworking, friendly staff went above and beyond to resolve them. The facility is beautiful, clean, with a great view, and the atmosphere feels like family - my neighbor is happy and safe. I'm very impressed and highly recommend it.

    About Lake Michigan Senior Living

Lake Michigan Senior Living is a small residential care home set right on South Lakeshore Drive in Ludington, Michigan, with beautiful views of the lake that really invite peace and quiet and you can see the water from many of the rooms because it's built right on the shore. The campus has four houses and each one holds up to six residents, which means people get to live in a more private and cozy setting rather than a big building with lots of noise. Each home is two stories with private bedrooms, and each room comes with its own bathroom, independent climate controls, and a refrigerator, and residents can choose to have a TV in their own rooms, but there's also a community living room with a TV for those who want to watch and join group activities together, which helps people stay connected and not feel left out if they want company.

They serve three meals a day in a community dining area and snacks are ready for those who want them, and the kitchen staff makes sure to offer meals that are both healthy and tasty, even for people with special diets or medical needs-so folks who have diabetes, need non-ambulatory care, or incontinence support, or require medications managed get what they need. There's help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, and other personal care, and someone's on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so people don't have to worry about getting help if they need it at any time. This place also offers memory care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, and they're licensed to care for seniors, people with developmental disabilities, physical handicaps, those with traumatic brain injuries, and mental illness, which shows they try to meet quite a few different needs under one roof.

Residents take part in activities designed to keep everyone active and connected, like group games, fitness routines, or social events, and it's clear the staff put thought into making sure daily life isn't just routine but actually enjoyable, and those small social gatherings help people feel included. Residents can use transportation services for appointments or shopping, and parking's available on campus. The grounds around the homes really stand out, since they offer places to sit and watch the water or just relax with others or alone, and that setting can be a real comfort for people who like quiet and nature.

Lake Michigan Senior Living is fully licensed by the State of Michigan (license number AS530417439), and the latest license runs from April 18, 2024, through April 17, 2026, with inspection reports available for people who want to look over them. The place is known for its personal touch, careful attention, and treating every resident with respect, offering a safe and supportive environment where seniors can get the care they need without giving up comfort or privacy. The staff makes sure everyone's routines, medication, and health needs get met in a caring way, so no one feels lost in the shuffle, and all things considered, it's a peaceful place with pretty views, good care, and a focus on making sure people feel at home right on the shore of Lake Michigan.
