    Pretty community, caring staff, unreliable

I like the pretty, clean, smaller community and the activity program-Arlene and the activity team are wonderful. Staff are kind, hardworking, and often go above and beyond, which put me at ease. That said, there's high turnover and understaffing that has caused medication delays, laundry and meal problems, and spotty communication from management. It feels safe and welcoming but is expensive and not consistently reliable for higher-level care. I'd recommend it for social/assisted living with caution-confirm staffing and continuity before committing.

    About LakeHouse Three Rivers

LakeHouse Three Rivers serves older adults with a wide range of care and comfortable living options on one campus, so you'll find independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement community services all in one place, which can make changes in care needs easier to handle over time, and for folks who need short-term help, there's also respite care and options for recovery. The facility welcomes some pets and has a good amount of common areas and amenities. Residents get to choose from different floor plans, like studios and one-bedroom apartments such as the Oak Suite and Sycamore, each with features like carpeting, closets, window treatments, and kitchenettes with wooden cabinets and mini-fridges, giving a homelike setting. Apartments have views of the gardens or well-kept courtyards, where you'll spot benches, flower beds, birdwatching spots, and paved walkways, making for plenty of places to sit, relax, and soak up the sun or chat with friends. There's on-site parking, maintenance for apartments, laundry and housekeeping each week, and a hair salon for convenience.

The team at LakeHouse Three Rivers includes highly trained caregivers, with a full-time registered nurse overseeing care, and they start by giving every resident a health and wellness assessment, which helps match them with a Resident Care Partner who learns each person's needs and likes, so daily support feels more familiar and personal, and they offer help with all activities of daily living like bathing and medication, especially for those who need assisted living or have Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, where safety and structure are important. For memory care, they try to reduce confusion and keep residents safe from wandering, plus the environment helps stimulate mind, body, and spirit in a calm and supportive way. There are also options for home care, including non-medical help for those seniors who want to stay living at home for as long as possible.

Dining is done in large, bright rooms with chef-prepared meals three times each day, and there's always a chance to eat in your own apartment if you want privacy, and if guests come by for mealtimes, they're welcome when space allows. Around the building, you'll see gathering spots like the dining room, community kitchen, library lined with shelves and big windows, TV lounge with a fireplace and cozy chairs, an activity room with a piano, and outdoor courtyards filled with flowers and seating. Resident clubs and activities keep people moving and connecting, so you'll find walking clubs, trips to museums, shopping, art workshops, musical shows, cooking sessions, bingo, movies, and events with guest speakers, all lined up on an active community calendar, while devotional services, wellness programs, and a Veteran's Program add extra layers of support for different needs.

Guests can stay overnight if there's space, transportation is free for residents, and the facility's got strong WiFi and devices available for video chats so folks can keep in touch with family and friends using Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, or Threads. Safety is considered too, with illuminated entryways, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, indoor mailboxes, and accessible bathrooms with walk-in showers and grab bars. Smoking isn't allowed inside. Staff is around 24/7 to help whenever needed, and there's hospice care for those who need end-of-life support, along with onsite therapy and health programs when needed. The community maintains an online blog, photo gallery, floor plan details, plus resources and a senior living library for families, and invites visitors to see things for themselves if they want to learn more about daily life, apartments, or LakeHouse Three Rivers' many offerings.
