    About Barrett Care Center

Barrett Care Center, which started back in 1976, stands as a privately owned and operated Minnesota nursing home that takes care of seniors and also offers help for adults over 18 who need a place to recover or stay for a while. The community cares for people from towns like Barrett, Elbow Lake, Fergus Falls, Alexandria, Ashby, Hoffman, Wendell, Herman, Norcross, and all around Grant County. Staff at Barrett Care Center focus on person-centered care, showing respect and treating everyone with dignity and love, which you notice in everyday life. The care center covers a lot-from long-term nursing and memory dementia care to short stays and transitional care apartments, and even respite and hospice services, with specialized programs for memory care, including dementia. People can get nursing rehabilitation, occupational and physical therapy, speech language pathology, tracheotomy care, and IV therapy here. The campus prides itself on its homey feel, with a front patio lined with raised garden beds for growing flowers and vegetables, and there's a big covered gazebo which works well for family get-togethers or just some fresh air on nice days. Some folks like the animals who visit, including three indoor cats and a dog, which makes things feel warmer and more like home. Barrett Care Center sees volunteers coming in for programs and offers a good variety of activities to help residents stay social and active. The staff support dietary programs for different needs, and they look after not just the physical health part but also the psychological and spiritual needs of everyone, believing in "Families Serving Families" as their main way of doing things. You can find updates from them on Facebook, showing a bit of daily life around there. The center houses assisted living services on the same campus, trying to make things easy and comfortable for both short and long-term stays.
