    Nice staff but poor maintenance

I like the apartment, location, and many of the staff - people are friendly, welcoming, and the activities director is amazing (she got my husband engaged). That said, the place has persistent upkeep and cleanliness problems: hallways unclean, painting unfinished, deck and screen-porch repairs outstanding for months/years, and the fitness room is poorly equipped. They're short-staffed with only a few RNs and high aide turnover; aides can be helpful but nurses can be rigid and communication with families is hit-or-miss. Food quality and single meal options disappointed me, and pricing feels high given the maintenance issues. Overall a decent experience in some ways, but the facility needs better maintenance and staffing to match the price.
