Good Samaritan Society - Howard Lake is a non-profit senior living community owned by Sanford, with about 29 residents each day and 32 certified beds for people who need different levels of support, like skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, memory care, and adult care home services, and you'll find staff who speak English working here, taking care of folks with things like orthopedic rehabilitation, stroke recovery, wound care, feeding tube management, post-cardiac recovery, IV therapy, tracheostomy care, dialysis support, help with falls, balance therapy, and bariatric care, and they do outpatient and inpatient rehab therapy too, which helps people move from the hospital back home or gives people a place to stay longer if they need more help. The place also runs home care, home health, hospice, and caregiver support, along with referrals and other resources for people who need help to stay healthy and live as well as they can. Staff turnover for nurses is 25.7%, which is lower than the state average, and nurses spend about 3.91 hours a day with each resident, which is a bit less than the state average of 4.2 hours, and they've been managed by The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society since January 2019 with Tony Morrison, Clemencia Rasquinha, and Laura Rindfleisch in leadership roles, trying to see that residents get the care and services they need, and overall, they focus on offering different supports for both health and daily living, trying to help each person feel comfortable and safe as they age.
