Valleyview Of Jordan is an assisted living community for adults aged 55 and older, set on a 14-acre wooded campus right across from the Minnesota State Wildlife Refuge, and people will find walking paths and open spaces here that create a peaceful setting, along with three-story buildings for residents. The place has private studio apartments in different sizes with lounge areas, kitchenettes, phone desks, libraries, and some options for couples or residents who prefer more privacy or wheelchair accessibility, plus there are private cottages meant for those who are more independent and like a little extra space. Residents get help with daily activities like bathing, cleaning, getting meals, and managing medications, and the staff stays on-site at all times to make sure everyone's safe, awake, and cared for, and nurses and home health aides are among the team, while a nurse practitioner visits every couple of weeks, and a licensed psychotherapist comes in once a week. The facility provides assisted living at several levels of care, from light to heavy, and it offers memory care support for people with Alzheimer's along with diabetic care, transfer help for non-ambulatory residents, and the rule is that people must manage incontinence on their own. There are common rooms indoors so people can take part in activities-things like bingo, live music, holiday celebrations, social and educational programs, and some events outside, plus there are devotional services offsite for those who want them and a vented indoor tobacco room for those who smoke. Meals are served in communal dining rooms, and there are living rooms, kitchens, and decks for extra-care needs, while transportation is free for residents who need to get out to appointments or errands. Valleyview Of Jordan has a structured schedule of activities called Happiness Enhancing Activities, and there are mental health supports and psychiatric care on site because the community has a license for those, so folks who need extra help get that attention. Residents pay privately or may use financial support like CADI, EW, BI, or GRH Medicaid waivers, and the property has both private and semi-private accommodations. John F Bonner III is the owner, and Valleyview Communities manages the facility, but the place isn't BBB accredited. Staff aim to support residents with kindness, treating them with dignity and respect and tailoring care to people's individual needs, so it's really about making sure older adults have a comfortable, supportive space, and more details about the place can be found on their website at valleyviewcommunities.com.
Friendly staff, outstanding care, welcoming
I highly recommend the Jordan facility - I never worry about my loved one's care because the administration and nursing teams are outstanding. Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, residents feel welcomed and eager to visit, there are plenty of activities with staff assistance, and the only drawback is the building is a bit old.
