    About Mvna

Mvna is a nonprofit home health and public health care provider based at 2000 Summer Street NE in Minneapolis, serving the Twin Cities Metro Area, and it's been part of the community for over 112 years. They offer many types of care, with unique names for their different services and features, like Community of Caring, which gives non-medical health and safety support items, and Cornerstone Caregiving for things like respite care and hospital recovery care. Their staff is known for ongoing clinical training and include nurses, licensed social workers, home health aides, and health aides who all help with personal care, bathing, ambulation, light housekeeping, and meals, and provide social and emotional support too.

Mvna has focused programs for seniors, including home health visits for adults with acute or chronic needs, in-home care for Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Palliative care, home care for elders and family health services for children and at-risk families, chronic disease management, and end-of-life hospice care, which includes on-call hospice nurses 24/7 for symptom management and pain relief and counseling support for up to 18 months after a loved one passes. They also run more than 81,800 home visits each year, offer interpreter services in 30 languages, and give over 90,000 vaccinations.

Rooms come fully furnished with housekeeping, linen service, kitchenettes, telephones, and wifi, and they have common areas like a dining room, library, garden, and outdoor spaces, with restaurant-style dining and accommodations for special diets. The amenities and activities include arts and crafts, education, wellness programs, social events, laundry, and personal grooming help, along with help for walking, wheelchairs, dressing, toileting, and medication management. Mvna staff can travel to client homes for care and offer light housekeeping and meal assistance, mobility help, and assistance with transfers and bathing.

Besides elder care, they provide support for children through Pinnacle Services and community health checkups for kids, school nurse consultations, and health screenings. Their wellness services include things like onsite flu clinics, First Aid training, and corporate wellness programs. The staff are screened with background and drug checks, reference checks, and interviews. Mvna also helps people with housing or disability applications and offers therapy services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

They focus on compassion, collaboration, resourcefulness, and respect, and carry out regular checks on their website for accessibility to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Volunteers offer companionship and respite to caregivers, and bereavement counselors help families deal with loss. The facility tries to give each person care that improves health and independence across all ages, whether someone needs routine care, short-term help, or end-of-life support.
