Accra Care VIII is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals by delivering personalized homecare services and robust support in the comfort of clients’ own homes. With a commitment to fostering independence for people of all ages, Accra Care VIII provides self-directed Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Choice services, reaching both children and adults. These services are carefully designed to support clients with the essential activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, transfers, mobility, positioning, and toileting. In addition to assisting with these daily needs, the care team at Accra Care VIII also attends to housekeeping tasks, laundry, and meal preparation for adults, ensuring a holistic approach to wellbeing and comfort.
Understanding the significance of community and autonomy, Accra Care VIII extends PCA services beyond the home, supporting individuals as they participate in their broader communities. Through its role as a Financial Management Services (FMS) provider, Accra Care VIII empowers clients to hire and employ their caregivers under programs such as Consumer Directed Community Supports (CDCS) and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG), helping to facilitate continued community living for people with long-term care needs or disabilities. Careful assistance is provided in employing support workers and obtaining the necessary aids and services, allowing clients to maintain choice and control in their care journey.
Accra Care VIII holds a Basic 245D license, which enables access to an extensive suite of supportive services, including respite, homemaker support, Individual Community Living Support (ICLS), Individual Home Supports (IHS) without training, IHS with training, and night supervision. Each service is tailored to the individual, with clients having the ability to select a trusted worker that best fits their needs. For specialized supports like IHS with training, a qualified staff member is thoughtfully matched to the client. Throughout the process, a dedicated Accra Service Coordinator collaborates with the client and their county case manager to establish and administer the full range of 245D Waivered Services, ensuring that every aspect of care is guided and supported.
The mission of Accra Care VIII centers on fostering greater independence and wellbeing for every client served. From children and adolescents to adults and families, the comprehensive services provided address the needs of those living with disabilities and older adults requiring additional assistance. The dedication to personalized care is evident in how care plans are designed in tandem with clients and their families, always focusing on what will best enhance their daily lives and long-term goals. Clients under programs such as ARMHS and PCA Choice experience tailored supports that allow them to thrive, maintain stability, and make meaningful choices daily.
