    Friendly staff but small, inconsistent

I moved my aunt here and appreciate the visible, friendly staff, bright comfortable common areas and attentive medical care - the place feels safe and some staff really go the extra mile. That said it's an old converted motel with tiny studios (~300 sq ft), few to no amenities (no pool/café/activities/garden) and the food skews greasy (lots of pizza/hamburgers), despite some praised and diverse meal options. Staffing is inconsistent: understaffed at times, slow pendant responses and delayed assistance, and I've noticed room odors, poor housekeeping in places and unsecured meds on bedside tables. It's pricey for what you get; I'd recommend it cautiously as an option for higher-need care but not if you expect hotel-level amenities or consistent housekeeping.

    About Peaceful Lodge

Peaceful Lodge gives residents a place where they can get help with daily tasks while still keeping their independence, and there are staff available all the time to offer a hand if someone needs something, which is comforting if someone has trouble moving around or remembering things. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, including the showers, and you can find plenty of indoor common areas where folks can gather and visit or join in some of the activities that the staff plans to help everyone stay social and entertained. There's an onsite beautician for haircuts and such, and meals are prepared with nutrition and cultural traditions in mind, since they honor the cultures of people living there, sometimes even serving ethnic meals. People like to know that the property has a controlled entry and an emergency call system, so help can get there fast, and the staff is known for being friendly and supportive, always focused on comfort and safety.

Peaceful Lodge helps with transportation, from weekly shopping trips and errands to complimentary rides for appointments, and there's resident parking if someone still drives, plus it's right by bus lines, Highway 94, shops, restaurants, and clinics, which is handy. Some like that friends and family are welcome to join in on activities, and there's a range of things to do, like exercise, wellness programs, and classes for learning, as well as devotional services offsite for those who want them. There are options for assisted living, independent living, memory care, hospice, respite care, nursing homes, home care, and care homes, and they have programs that adjust to each person's needs, even for folks with disabilities or special medical issues. The community works hard to make everyone feel comfortable and valued, and the design keeps things small and home-like, with linen changes, structured activity programs, and a map of the property for easier navigation. Tours are easy to set up, and visitors can meet staff and get to know what life's like at Peaceful Lodge. The main goal is to help each resident live well, surrounded by caring people, in a place that's safe, welcoming, and respectful of everyone's differences.
