Adapta is dedicated to providing individualized services that empower people to live in supportive environments while maintaining full access to the community and essential resources. The approach at Adapta centers around the belief that genuine healing begins when individuals feel truly heard. To support this, the staff strive to listen attentively to the needs and desires of each person they serve, creating a space where individuals feel valued and respected. Every program at Adapta is tailored specifically to the unique circumstances of each person, ensuring that their experiences are as enriching and fulfilling as possible. This focus on person-centered care has helped Adapta establish itself as a leader in the field of community integration, offering innovative support that enables individuals to thrive both within the home and beyond.
Historically, Adapta originated with a facility known as “Wing House,” which has since evolved to meet the growing and changing needs of its community. One of the notable facilities, Folwell Flats, serves as an 18-bed Assisted Living Facility dedicated to providing a comfortable, supportive home for those who require a higher level of care. In addition to Folwell Flats, Manor House holds particular significance as it was the first community-based residential home developed by Adapta. Currently home to four individuals, Manor House set the standard for the compassionate, individualized care that defines the organization.
Continuing to expand its reach and impact, Adapta is preparing to open Judd House, the newest addition to its selection of homes. Judd House stands out for its commitment to providing person-centered services and will serve three more individuals in a welcoming, community-oriented environment. The development of Judd House reflects Adapta’s ongoing dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the people it supports and reinforcing its role as a pioneer in individualized, community-based residential services.
At every Adapta residence, staff members are passionate about the well-being of those in their care. Their commitment is evident in the positive, nurturing relationships they build and in the flexibility with which they respond to the preferences and needs of individuals. Whether providing support at Folwell Flats, Manor House, or the upcoming Judd House, the core mission remains the same: to ensure that each person is empowered to live as independently and richly as possible, within an environment that truly feels like home.
