Since its founding in 2002, SilverCare has maintained a strong focus on individualized care plans that are meticulously designed to maximize both independence and quality of life for each resident. Recognizing the importance of expert, on-site care teams, SilverCare was created to fulfill the vision and values of its parent organization, placing residents at the very center of its mission.
At the core of SilverCare is a team of over 160 caregivers, including a Corporate Clinical Director, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Resident Assistants. This highly trained and compassionate staff operates with a deep sense of urgency, always guided by the goal of putting residents’ needs and well-being first. Residents benefit from around-the-clock care, every day of the year, supported by a strong leadership team that is committed to ongoing training and feedback for all staff members. This ensures that both residents and staff experience a supportive, engaging, and healthy environment.
Personal care support is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each resident, encompassing assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, as well as medication management and administration. The presence of an emergency pendant response system ensures that help is always available, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Residents also receive daily reassurance checks and health monitoring, including vital signs, blood pressure, and glucose checks. Additional support includes internal escorts to meals and activities, comprehensive housekeeping, laundry and linen changes, meal assistance, and both one and two person lifts and transfers, all designed to create a safe and comfortable living experience. Companionship and socialization are prioritized, with ongoing care conferences and continuous nursing oversight to keep families connected and informed.
For residents requiring specialized attention, SilverCare offers enhanced assisted living services. These services feature higher staff-to-resident ratios and an expanded range of care, including lift and transfer assistance, wound care, and other advanced support measures. The care team is specially trained to work with individuals experiencing memory loss, and they develop custom care plans to address specific needs. A full-time Reflections Director is available to facilitate communication and serve as a liaison between residents, their families, and the care teams, ensuring continuity and consistency in care delivery.
The respite program at SilverCare provides fully furnished studios and apartments for individuals who need short-term care and personal assistance. Whether recovering from a hospital stay or requiring temporary support while a regular caregiver is unavailable, the SilverCare team closely collaborates with each resident’s healthcare professionals to ensure proper follow-through on all necessary orders. Residents also have access to on-site physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy during respite stays, making recovery and rehabilitation seamless and accessible.
In partnership with various healthcare professionals, SilverCare enables residents to receive services such as physical therapy, physician consultations, podiatry, and hospice care within the comfort of their own homes.
