Magnolia Healthcare, Inc. is a 60-bed, not-for-profit nursing facility built in 1969 and dually licensed for Medicare and Medicaid, and you'll find it has a spacious and homelike environment where residents get skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, and a range of support services, so whether someone's recovering from surgery, injury, or dealing with a serious illness, or living there long-term, the staff helps with nursing, medical care, and daily needs. The team includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, a registered dietician, social service worker, and activity professionals, all working together to look after the physical and emotional needs of residents. The place offers private or semi-private rooms, and folks can bring and arrange their own belongings to make things feel more like home. There's round-the-clock support, with 12-16 hour nursing and a 24-hour call system in place, and the rooms come fully furnished with air conditioning, cable, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, telephones, and regular housekeeping and linen service. Skilled nurses provide medical care, pain management, IV therapy, complex wound care, and rehabilitation, and there are special programs for stroke and orthopedic recovery and post-surgical care. There's memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, with 24-hour support and activities designed for memory enhancement in a secure setting. Magnolia Healthcare, Inc. also has independent living options for people who want a maintenance-free lifestyle while still having access to resort-style amenities, support services, and social activities. Meal services include restaurant-style dining, meal preparation, and special dietary options for things like diabetes, all overseen by a registered dietician. For staying active and connected, residents use a fitness room, gaming room, garden, outdoor space, library, and wellness center, plus there are daily scheduled activities, community-run events, and organized outings like shopping trips and excursions. There's also a beauty salon, computer center, and transportation for scheduled activities or community errands. Social activities, arts and crafts, exercise programs, mental wellness support, and resident-led groups are easy to join, and family involvement is encouraged to keep everyone feeling cared for and respected. Respite care is available for those who need short-term stays, giving caregivers a break, and the whole place tries to maintain an atmosphere of dignity, independence, and respect for everyone living and working there. If information is needed, Magnolia Healthcare, Inc. has a website that lays out its services and programs.

Clean appearance hid severe neglect
In my experience, the facility looked clean on my first visit, rooms were spacious and staff seemed friendly, but that was misleading. My dad was neglected-dehydrated and malnourished, hospitalized multiple times, staff lied about his condition, and I even found maggots in his nose; basic cleaning and care were not being done. I do not recommend this place, especially for out-of-state families.
