    Great caregivers, management with problems

I've seen both serious problems (medication errors, missed meds, dehydration, bruises, a resident left soaking wet and hospitalizations) and unresponsive, money-driven management with a rigid 30-day contract. At the same time the caregiving staff are loving and attentive - guardian angels who give me peace of mind, work well with hospice (weekly updates), and resolve issues when pushed. Overall I recommend with caution: trust the staff, but insist on clear communication, camera access and stronger commitments from management.

    About Guardian Angels

Guardian Angels sits over on Victory Road in Laurel, MS and has a simple, home-like setting where folks can pick a private room, studio, or a semi-private spot if that suits them better, and they've got just twelve beds, which keeps it feeling smaller and easier to get to know who's who, and you'll see they've got housekeeping and laundry done every day, maintenance is all handled, and there are those emergency buttons sprinkled around so you can get help quick if you ever need it. There are health classes, crafts, even computer lessons, plus regular health checks and a steady focus on fall prevention, and people can use the exercise room or go to the snack shop or sit awhile in the library's reading area, and meals happen in the dining hall. The staff stays on-site round the clock, and their care covers daily needs like help with dressing, bathing, getting around, and more focused care if someone's living with Parkinson's disease or memory issues, you know, because they've got both memory care and adult day services as part of how they try to help. Residents can join support groups or take part in activities, and there are special care plans that fit particular needs, plus transport when it's needed and personal requests are handled, so it helps people go about their days with as much comfort as possible. Pets get to come with you, bathrooms and showers are ADA-friendly, and they're certified as a Personal Care Home, which means they handle a good mix of assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation, topped with home health services if that's what's called for, and all of this is under the management of Mr. Vicente Moncivais. They've got a nice record for residents' well-being, based on the two high reviews they received, and you can find another location up in Ellisville too, with services always aiming to cover what long-term care and support can mean for families.
