    Caring staff and beautiful community

I'm so glad I moved here. The staff are kind, attentive and professional - they made my transition seamless and provide top-notch care (meds, on-site PT and hospital transport if needed). The renovated, hotel-like building is beautiful and clean, rooms are large, and the dining room serves delicious, nutritious meals. There are always activities and outings - arts & crafts, games and social events - and I truly feel part of a caring, family-like community. Highly recommend.

    About Meridian Living

Meridian Living, also known as Meridian, sits at 538 Bonita Lakes Dr and stands as a 3-story senior living community with a home-like atmosphere where staff treat residents like family, offering warmth, care, and compassion that you can feel as soon as you walk in the door, and you'll see the place is tidy, the staff are friendly, and people look comfortable, while enjoying chef-inspired meals in a casual dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all prepared so they feel like home cooking. Residents choose from private studio or suite style apartments, including assisted living and independent living units, many recently renovated for comfort and ease. There's a big focus on community, where monthly bingo games bring together residents and neighbors, and you'll notice artwork throughout the building that shows off local history and beauty, which helps everyone share a sense of local pride, and there's always something going on, from exercise classes, outings to town and downtown attractions, to parties, games, puzzles, cards, and bridge, so folks can stay active and feel part of things no matter how much help they need.

Meridian Living has services for almost any stage of aging, covering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and specialized Memory Care, plus home care for those who want to stay independent as long as possible, with options like Adult Day Services, Long-Term Care, Home Health Care, and Hospice Care for different needs. The staff, including one RN and two LPNs among a 15-member team, help with daily tasks like bathing, grooming, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, medicine management, and physical therapy, and there's always someone on call for emergencies, so families can feel safe letting their loved ones enjoy some independence while getting support. Residents also get regular access to a well-equipped salon for haircuts and grooming, devotional services both on and offsite, a physical therapy area, and common spaces where people gather to talk, share stories, or just relax.

Security remains steady with keypad locks and surveillance cameras, along with on-site nurses around every day, and if residents need to go to an appointment or check out local attractions, scheduled transportation is available, making life a little simpler. Meridian Living encourages family visits and even welcomes overnight guests, creating an open and supportive atmosphere, and the programs, with their mix of social, educational, and entertaining activities, show a focus on keeping the mind and body engaged, so everyone can find something that suits their interests or needs. Lanterns hang in the halls and rooms are washed in natural light, giving the community a sense of peace, kindness, and comfort. The facility holds a state license under number 1242 and has a good reputation locally, holding a 4.4 rating based on a handful of reviews, which reflects steady work from a dedicated staff. The environment at Meridian Living aims to balance independence and support, offering an honest, straightforward place for those wanting a safe, caring, and community-focused home in Mississippi, especially for those who'd like to be surrounded by understanding staff and fellow residents while living with dignity and choice in their later years.
