Wisteria Gardens is a nursing home and rehabilitation center located in Mississippi that takes care of seniors with a focus on comfort, respect, and independence, where folks can choose from independent living, assisted living, or skilled nursing care depending on what they need, and if someone needs help getting dressed, bathing, using the bathroom, or needs a personal care assistant, staff can help with all of that. Wisteria Gardens has 52 private beds and each room is about 250 square feet, with a private bathroom and a shower that's easy to get into, and there's also air conditioning, cable TV, and WiFi, plus washers and dryers folks can use, and you'll find things like a dining room, a fitness center, and a salon or barbershop on the property. There's a big activity room for games or crafts, plenty of common spaces where people can gather, and an outdoor courtyard with walking paths and places to sit, and when company visits, there's guest parking too. Meals are chef-prepared and come to the table in a restaurant-style setting with flexible menus, and if someone prefers, they can get room service instead, plus kitchens or kitchenettes are in the rooms if you want to make something yourself. Staff help with housekeeping, laundry, and building upkeep, and help make sure everyone's safe and comfortable-there's always someone, either a nurse or another trained worker, on hand 24 hours a day for care or emergencies. If medical needs come up, the center offers nursing care, wound care, medication support, occupational therapy, podiatry, and has a full therapy team offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy right onsite, so folks recovering from surgery, illness, or injury can work toward getting better while staying in a comfortable space. The social services and activity teams set up health programs, educational classes, arts and crafts, and group activities so people can keep busy and meet new folks, and the transportation service helps residents get to offsite appointments or events. Safety features like sprinklers and accessible bathrooms are standard, and everything is designed to let people keep their dignity and privacy while getting the help they need. Wisteria Gardens takes Medicare, long-term care insurance, and credit cards, so there are a few different ways to pay, and the property is a licensed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) recognized by the State of Mississippi. The staff work with residents' own doctors to create thorough treatment and recovery plans and have experience in everything from rehabilitation therapies to nutrition, making it possible for folks to get personal care as their needs change.

Good short-term therapy, poor caregiving
I had a mixed experience. The building was clean, meals were good, and therapy/doctors/nurses helped her make real progress, but staff quality was wildly inconsistent - some were kind and competent while many CNAs/aides were uncaring, slow to respond, and neglectful (soiled sheets, long call times, poor night care). Communication and billing felt dismissive and confusing, and the place is not set up well for dementia. I'd consider it for short-term rehab with strong therapy, but would not trust it for long-term or dementia care.
