    Compassionate staff, clean home, recommended

I toured this small, family-style community and I'm very pleased. The staff - nurses, director and owners - are compassionate, responsive and go above and beyond; the place is very clean, single-floor, with large rooms, a lovely courtyard/porch and a safe, upbeat atmosphere. The home-style food is excellent, activities (bingo, Wheel of Fortune, devotions/church services, therapy) keep residents engaged, pricing is reasonable, and transition support/tours were helpful - I would recommend it. Minor caveats: I heard occasional communication/administration hiccups and limited transportation/meal variety for a few.

    About Plain View Assisted Living

Plain View Assisted Living sits at 214 Spell Dr in Richland, MS, and has served seniors since 2014, standing among tall trees in a quiet residential spot, offering a peaceful home-like feeling. The facility welcomes adults 55 and over, letting residents bring along well-behaved cats and dogs if they like animals close by. There are single and double studio apartments, each with a private bathroom and shower that has a built-in seat, plus enough space for personal furniture, and staff repaints the rooms for each new resident so things look fresh and clean. Emergency call lights and smoke detectors are in every apartment for safety too. Daily help with things like bathing or taking medicines is a main service, and the staff, including a licensed full-time nurse and professional caregivers, are always nearby, day or night, if any health issues come up.

Home health and rehabilitation services are available when needed, and there's Alzheimer's Care for those needing memory support. Plain View Assisted Living also has short-term respite stays and Adult Day Services for families who need them. Residents can do their laundry with personal attention, and staff handle the housekeeping, including light daily cleaning and weekly linen changes. You'll find snacks and drinks available 24/7, with all meals served in a restaurant-style dining room.

The beauty salon helps people with grooming, and there's a full calendar of social activities and trips planned by a full-time activity director, with events like cookouts, Mardi Gras parties, crafts, and more. There are indoor common rooms with TV, a library, and nice seating, plus outdoor areas for fresh air or just sitting outside. Transportation's arranged for appointments and outings, so folks can stay active in the community. Spiritual needs are met with on-site devotional services, and personal care is always tailored to each person's needs. Plain View Assisted Living aims to help seniors stay as independent as possible while offering steady support, comfort, and opportunities to connect, surrounded by good people, caring staff, and a home that's easy to enjoy.
