Lenoir Woods gives older adults many choices and plenty of support with living arrangements like independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and short stay rehab called REACH Short Stay Rehab, and the staff helps with daily needs like bathing, dressing, or taking medicine while making sure folks can still make their own choices. This place sits on Lenoir Street in Columbia, Missouri, and shares space with Boone Health's network, so residents have nurses and health professionals nearby and services like physicals, immunizations and flu shots, along with in-house care for things like high acuity needs, diabetes, non-ambulatory care, and incontinence. There's special help for seniors with memory loss, including Alzheimer's disease, in a secure setting that stops wandering and keeps everyone safe. Lenoir Woods gives families lots of options with independent living for active seniors, nursing homes, home care services for people still at home, and housing types like apartments and care homes, all inside a nonprofit and faith-centered mission that tries to empower older adults to live fully. Meals are prepared with good ingredients and are set up so people can eat together, and there are easy-access features in the rooms like wheelchair roll-in showers and accessible tubs. Amenities stretch to things like a swimming pool, fitness programs, arts, crafts, salon services, laundry and housekeeping, on-site banking, and several dining choices, including some fine dining venues, though some pet restrictions do apply. Staff stays patient and attentive, offering help with rides, religious services, and support for those with veterans' benefits or financial needs, including programs for home sale help and financial aid if needed, with payment choices like checks, credit cards, and insurance. Lenoir Woods aims to keep people engaged-there are activities set up for social, physical, mental, and emotional well-being, along with coaching for housing, finances, and even careers, plus volunteers and special programs like the Affordable Housing Coalition for folks who need extra help, and the atmosphere stays warm because the staff usually treats everyone with kindness, joy, and helpfulness. Common areas indoors and outside give people places to gather or sit quietly, and there's an event calendar so everyone can keep busy or join in on community life, and for anyone interested, tours are encouraged so people can drop by, meet the staff and other residents, and see what daily life here looks like, with no pressure.

Warm friendly independent living community
I moved in and love it - warm, friendly atmosphere with caring, hardworking staff who keep the place clean and peaceful. The food is excellent (large portions, varied venues), and there are tons of daily activities and social events that keep me engaged and imaginative. I enjoy my independence, transportation, no property taxes or maintenance costs, and the reassurance that care is available if needed. Drawbacks are the high price, long waiting list and refurbishment timeline, and occasional COVID restrictions, but I made friends, am happily enjoying life here, and would recommend the house-living option.
