General Baptist Nursing Home of Linn, MO cares for up to 132 residents in a skilled nursing facility that's been serving the Linn area since 2017, and you'll find it over at 196 Highway CC where staff work around the clock. The team includes directors of nurses, RNs, LPNs, and aides, all providing 24-hour care, and doctors are on call every day, so residents can get help whenever they need it. This nursing home offers residential care, short-term care, and dementia care, and they try to keep residents comfortable by working closely with families and seeing every person as unique, which the mission statement talks about too, mentioning dignity, respect, and relationships, because they know each elder matters. People living here get three meals planned by a registered dietitian a day, laundry and housekeeping services, lab services, and help from outside consultants who know about speech, occupational, physical, and inhalation therapy, and there's always access to pharmacy services and outpatient care if a resident needs that as well. The place runs social activities, so there's chances to meet other people, and the staff support elders' spiritual, mental, and physical needs, making sure to encourage self-determination and respect risk-taking according to their care philosophy. All medicine and treatments use up-to-date medical equipment, and if anything goes wrong, emergency services are there to respond right away. The building welcomes everyone, no matter their age, religion, ethnicity, how much money they have, or who they love, and because it's a nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status, money it takes in gets used for care, not for making profits. There's a president named Jim Poole, a CEO named Scott Cole, and several other leaders handling responsibilities, and the home had revenues a bit over $3.3 million in 2022 with a staff of 78 people. Even though their liabilities outweigh their assets right now, they keep operating as a legitimate licensed nonprofit and file their taxes with Form 990. The General Baptist Nursing Home of Linn, MO focuses on building an open, diverse, and caring community that helps elders avoid feeling institutionalized and tries to answer every resident's daily needs so they feel safe and respected in their later years.

Unsafe facility despite caring staff
I live here and have serious safety concerns: sub-par, unsafe equipment (broken wheelchair and rollator, bad brakes), no oxygen in my tank, mats not at my bed - I've fallen 17 times and have bruises. The CNAs and nurses are amazing and the main living area is beautiful, no smell, with fish and birds and a positive atmosphere, but chronic understaffing, delayed call-light responses, unprofessional leadership changes and favoritism in hiring undermine care. I'm grateful for the hardworking staff, but until safety and staffing are fixed I can't feel this place is fit for residents like me.
