    Warm, clean, friendly care home

I toured Glenfield and felt immediately at home - a clean, small, family-like place with attentive, friendly staff, individualized care, home-cooked meals (banana bread, BBQ/ice cream events), private roomy rooms and lovely outdoor spaces. I'm very happy with the staff and management and highly recommend it, though I would ask about care protocols and any incident history before committing.

    About Glenfield Memory Care

Glenfield Memory Care Homes sits just outside Saint Peters in Cottleville, MO, and has a small, home-like setting with space for only twelve residents, so people get more attention and care than they might in larger places. Each person gets a private room, with a half bath, their own closet, and enough space to bring memory-sparking furniture from home, which helps folks feel settled and safe. The whole place is about 7,500 square feet, and everything's designed to be easy to move around for seniors, without a lot of barriers or confusing hallways, and the community's laid out to help people with memory troubles avoid getting lost or upset.

There's a fenced-in backyard to let folks enjoy the outdoors safely, and the rooms, dining area, living room, kitchen, and recreation space all look pleasant and comfy with modern touches-not hospital-like, just more like a house. Certified nursing assistants watch over residents twenty-four hours a day, every day, and the facility uses community-wide video surveillance so families can worry less about safety. Caregivers get extra training for Alzheimer's and dementia, learning how to support residents with evidence-based care and the right behavior techniques for memory loss.

The staff focuses on person-centered care for people with memory troubles or dementia, which means they try to understand what makes each person comfortable, and encourage them to join in the daily routine, including help with getting dressed, bathing, moving around, and taking medicine. Everyone has a tailored care plan and can get extra services, like help with diabetes or short-term respite stays if a family needs a break. The dining program, meal prep, housekeeping, emergency alert system, and regular wellness checks help keep folks comfortable and cared for.

There's a full schedule of activities-brain games, arts and crafts, sing-alongs, pet visits, and even worship service options if that suits someone-and families can join in when they want. The calendar helps everyone keep track. The home prides itself on honesty, helpfulness, and keeping a relaxed atmosphere, letting residents and families form strong bonds with caregivers and other seniors. Rooms come with air conditioning, telephone, Wi-Fi, and good lighting, and the property has walking paths, a garden, easy parking, and transportation if needed.

Glenfield Memory Care Homes doesn't try to be fancy or grand but focuses on comfort and routine, so seniors with memory loss can live as independently as possible for as long as possible, surrounded by people who know them well. The place isn't a nursing home, but rather a life care community built for people who want small-scale living with respect for dignity and a quieter experience. Reviews from residents and families are mostly positive, often mentioning the homelike feel, attentive staff, and peace of mind. The community is well-rated, usually getting over four out of five stars, though pricing information isn't published. New residents usually have to call to check current room openings, but as of now, only two rooms remain available. Guided tours are offered if families want to see daily life, the meals, and all the activities for themselves. Glenfield tries to keep things simple, safe, and welcoming for people living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
