    About Charter

Charter is a large senior living community in the St. Louis Hills area with a 7-story building and lots of natural light in the common areas, offering a choice of private apartments, studio, single, and semi-private rooms. The community has all utilities paid, free high-speed WiFi, cable, kitchenettes, and rooms wired for internet, so residents don't have to worry about extra bills. People can bring their cats or dogs, and there's a pet-friendly policy, pet-focused programs, outdoor courtyards, a gardening area, and safe walking spaces. The grounds are well kept, with snow and ice removal covered, and there's parking for both residents and guests. There are beauty and barber shops on site, along with a wellness center, gym, game room with billiards, movie theater, arts and crafts room, and a community space called The Hills Club Room. There's also a restaurant-style dining room, a bistro, anytime dining from 7am to 6pm, special meal options for different diets, and families or guests can come during meals. Housekeeping, linen laundry, and maintenance services are included every week.

Charter has a range of care options, such as independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing and long-term care, active adult living, short-term rehab, respite care, and even in-house hospice if needed. The memory care area is in a dedicated, secured section, with technology like bracelets to prevent wandering and keep people with dementia safe, and residents get person-centered care plans. There are staff available at all hours, including nurses and doctors on call, plus visiting therapists-like physical, occupational, speech therapists, dentists, and podiatrists. Staff help with medication management, diabetic care, personal care, grooming, laundry, and daily reminders, and they're trained to help residents with mobility issues, incontinence, or challenging behaviors. The team also works with family members to offer support groups and information.

For activities, there are structured programs every day with things like art classes, yoga, Tai Chi, music, gardening, game nights, Wii bowling, cooking club, book club, trips, devotionals, and even a resident musical group. Charter has a volunteer program, a life-enrichment director, and a calendar full of social, educational, and fitness events to encourage friendships and keep everyone active. Transportation is scheduled for group events or health care trips, and there's a 12-hour concierge service. The building is handicap accessible and has secure grounds to keep everyone safe. Charter accepts checks, offers VA benefits help, cost assistance, and all-inclusive pricing with no hidden fees. There are no-frills apartments if someone just wants a simple place, and there are home care options for people who need extra support. This community tries to create a warm and open atmosphere, encouraging independence and personal dignity, and helps residents stay as active and social as they like, with care that changes to fit their needs.
