Eagles Manor sits at 1000 Palmer Street in Miles City, Montana, and was started as a non-profit community project by the Miles City Aerie No. 885 Fraternal Order of Eagles to offer affordable senior housing for adults 62 and older and also for people under 62 who are handicapped or disabled, and the place has a five-story secure building with 62 studio apartments, 18 one-bedrooms, and 10 two-room apartments, all made to be comfortable and safe, with each apartment unfurnished but including blinds and wall-to-wall carpet, roomy closets, a kitchenette with a two-burner stove, refrigerator, and sink, and wire hookups for private phone and cable TV, plus individual control for heating and air-conditioning, and the whole place is smoke-free, and staff are always around and courteous. Residents there can choose how to decorate their apartments with their own furnishings from home, and the central dining room gives everyone a spot to eat together and catch up on the day, with meals provided.
