    Caring staff, peaceful Christ-centered community

I live here and highly recommend it - the staff (especially Erica and Chuck) are caring, responsive, and truly go above and beyond, and management and maintenance keep the grounds and updated, perfectly sized units spotless. The community is friendly and active with a lovely community center, beautiful lake/bridge views, plenty of programs, and convenient home-health/therapy options. I feel comfortable, well cared for, and enjoy the peaceful, Christ-centered atmosphere.

Hastings Village stands out as a place not merely to live, but to thrive—celebrating life’s ongoing journey surrounded by people who care.

Residents of Hastings Village can choose from a variety of inviting living arrangements, such as garden apartments, fourplex and patio apartments, Village twin homes, spacious townhomes, and unique Village Lane homes. The campus is thoughtfully structured to resemble small neighborhoods, each fostering a sense of belonging and individuality. Village Green apartments provide the independence of one- and two-bedroom floorplans, with the freedom for residents to add their own furnishings and décor, making each space a true home. Village Green is also pet friendly, allowing residents to bring along beloved companions.

The Villa, Hastings Village’s assisted living residency, offers an ideal balance of privacy and support. The Villa comprises 51 suites ranging from 240 to 495 square feet, with monthly fees that include three daily meals, utilities, Village cable TV, weekly housekeeping, scheduled laundry, and access to a range of social, spiritual, and recreational activities. Support measures such as medication assistance, stand-by help with weekly showers, and an emergency response system checked weekly offer peace of mind to both residents and their families. Staff members are available around the clock, ensuring attentive care and assistance as needed.

Beyond long-term and independent living, Hastings Village also provides comprehensive short-term rehabilitation therapy and specialized respite care to support family caregivers. Assisted living respite care is available for stays ranging from five to thirty days, offering 24-hour care, meals, and personal support for loved ones. This program not only gives caregivers time to rest and recharge but also serves as a helpful trial when considering a transition to more permanent assisted living solutions. The respite care team is focused on the well-being and comfort of each guest, ensuring that every individual receives high-quality, compassionate attention.

Perkins Pavilion, the community’s 175-bed long-term care center, features both private rehabilitation rooms and semi-private long-term care accommodations. Residents benefit from around-the-clock care and support that includes nutritious meals, restorative nursing, pharmacy services, and access to therapies such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The rehabilitation services are delivered in private rooms with en-suite baths, medical supplies, and tailored therapy plans, all managed by licensed and experienced staff.

Hastings Village is more than just living spaces and care; it’s a place filled with activities and amenities designed to support the well-being and interests of its residents. A nine-hole golf course and a nearby pavilion offer recreational opportunities and are accessible to residents, their families, and staff. The All Saints Chapel, a fixture of the campus since its dedication in 1966, hosts a variety of celebrations and community worship services, with events also broadcast on the local cable TV channel. Residents may choose to stay active in the on-site fitness room, look their best at the salon, or enjoy the relaxed environment of the library.

Unique among senior communities, Hastings Village also features a child daycare center, fostering intergenerational connections and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. The daycare accommodates infants from six weeks old to school-age children, adding a special dynamic to the fabric of village life.

Every aspect of daily life at Hastings Village is guided by respect for the individuality of each resident, creating a setting where comfort, freedom, and community are at the forefront. Residents are encouraged to personalize their experience, whether they’re passionate about bird-watching, reading, or entertaining family and friends, knowing that the environment will support their preferences and unique journey.
