    Warm loving care; minor issues

I placed my loved one in this small, family-run home and found it warm, home-like, and staffed by compassionate, attentive caregivers who provided one-on-one care, activities, and a pleasant backyard - my loved one was happy and comfortable. I did hear isolated reports of feeding/engagement issues and one hospital visit, so stay involved in care. Overall I'm grateful for the genuine, loving staff and would recommend this community.

    About An Angel's Touch Inc

An Angel's Touch Inc is a residential care home for seniors located at 11405 Farnam Circle in Omaha, Nebraska, and it's one of three communities the company runs in the state, and folks have known it for having a small, close group of residents where you're more likely to get personal attention, which is probably because there are more staff members for every resident than you usually see, something like one staff for every four people living there, and they've kept it family-owned since 1998, Nicole Burks owns it, so there's been a steady hand guiding the place for over 27 years. The whole place sits in a real house, which helps it feel less like an institution and more like home, and they have nice touches like a yard with a patio and outdoor seats so residents can sit and enjoy the fresh air, and there's a garden, fitness room, game room, and common spaces for everyone to use, plus it's all wheelchair accessible with safety features like sprinklers and handicap ramps.

Residents at An Angel's Touch can get assisted living, independent living, memory care for folks needing help with Alzheimer's or dementia, plus other care like adult day services, respite care for short stays, and even hospice if it's needed. The staff includes nurses, caregivers, and therapy helpers who look after people's medicine, wound care, walking or wheelchair needs, and they'll help with what most people call activities of daily living, like bathing, dressing, using the bathroom, grooming, eating, and moving around, and they also encourage everyone to stay as active as possible in their own way. Memory care is a big part of what they do, and the staff aims for a calm and safe setting, especially when someone's mind is confused or needs more guidance, and they provide updates to families with photos and emails so everyone knows how their loved one is doing.

The home serves prepared meals-usually one or two a day-and has a dining room, plus folks can use kitchens or kitchenettes in some rooms, and laundry as well as housekeeping get taken care of, so daily life's a bit simpler. Rooms come furnished and wheelchair-friendly, with options for private or semi-private setups, and there's cable TV, Wi-Fi, and places to do laundry. You'll also find a salon and barbershop, fitness center, and scheduled group activities like arts and crafts, movie nights, games, social times, and education programs, and they help with transportation for errands or appointments. There's a pharmacy on site in case anyone needs regular medication, and physical and occupational therapy are on hand too, plus podiatry services.

If you look at their rating, they come out about average with a 3.8 on Seniorly's scale, and while they aren't accredited with the BBB, they've got an A+ rating, which is something folks sometimes pay attention to. The resident population is kept small to make care more tailored, and they keep things affordable while saying they don't give up any quality for cost. Their main promise is to meet residents' needs quickly and treat everyone as a person, while working with families to keep them informed, and they push for residents to have a safe, comfortable place with room to stay social and engaged.
