Easter Seal Society New Hampshire, also known as Easterseals NH, is dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages and abilities to live their best lives with dignity, respect, and equality. The organization serves a diverse population—including children, adults, seniors, Veterans, and individuals with disabilities—by offering thoughtfully integrated care plans that enable people to live, learn, work, and play in their communities throughout their lifetimes. In 2024 alone, Easterseals NH impacted 17,535 people across eleven service areas in the state, providing over $9.5 million worth of free and reduced services to ensure equitable access to support and resources.
A cornerstone of Easterseals NH’s commitment to the community is its innovative approach to care and inclusivity. The organization has established a purpose-built campus and facilities on fifteen acres in Franklin, which will become a center of excellence specifically designed to serve military members and their families. This first-of-its-kind campus is being developed to address the unique needs of those who have served in the armed forces, representing a significant investment in support and outreach through funding received from the State of New Hampshire and the American Rescue Plan Act.
Addressing the housing needs of seniors, Easterseals NH developed Champlin Place, an affordable apartment community for individuals aged 62 and above located in Rochester, New Hampshire. Champlin Place is set within beautiful woodland surroundings and provides modern, well-equipped apartments in an independent living setting, with residents benefitting from easy access to Easterseals NH's extensive supportive services. This community underscores the organization’s mission to ensure seniors can maintain independence and enjoy a high quality of life in an affordable, supportive environment.
Championing educational excellence and accessibility, Easterseals NH is embarking on the construction of the new Gammon Academy School on its Zachary Road campus in Manchester. This new school is carefully designed to meet rigorous accessibility standards, ensuring that students in residential-education programs not only receive high-quality education but also benefit from environments that accommodate their unique needs. The campus embodies a true Center of Excellence, where learners are empowered to reach their fullest potential.
Throughout its service areas, Easterseals NH fosters a strong and unified community of care. The organization places a strong emphasis on advocacy and awareness, striving to call attention to the experiences of the more than 50 million Americans living with disabilities, and working tirelessly to expand opportunities and provide vital services across the lifespan. Whether through early childhood centers, adult day services, or community events that bring individuals and families together, Easterseals NH remains at the forefront of creating opportunities, offering hope, and delivering answers for people living with special needs, disabilities, and for the loved ones who care for them.
With a rich tapestry of programs and resources—notably including its new Gammon Academy School, Champlin Place, and the developing Military and Veterans Campus—Easterseals NH demonstrates unwavering commitment in nurturing a caring, inclusive, and supportive environment for all individuals it serves. The organization’s ongoing projects and dedication to innovation reflect its mission of transforming lives and strengthening communities, ensuring that everyone it touches has access to the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
