BeeHive Homes of Clovis is an assisted living community located on North Norris Street in Clovis, New Mexico, and if you go by the rating, which is a 4.0 from seven reviews, folks seem generally satisfied though not everything is perfect, and people who live there get a mix of privacy and close community because they've got private bedrooms with their own bathrooms, some with ADA showers, along with shared living and dining spaces right down the hallway which makes it easier to get to meals and visit with others. The layout is built for comfort and safety, as the hallways are wide and well-lit, and people in wheelchairs or with walkers usually have enough space to get around, plus each room has its own climate controls, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a pendant emergency call system for extra security, and you'll see thoughtful touches for those dealing with memory loss like visual cues and simple paths to help residents feel less confused. You'll find caregivers there around the clock, and each person gets a care plan that fits their needs, whether they need some help with bathing, medication, or more specialized care like for diabetes, incontinence, or Alzheimer's, and if someone needs only short-term help, BeeHive offers respite care for folks recovering from illness or surgery or for families needing a break. Meals are home-cooked, approved by a dietitian, and there are options like anytime dining, gluten-free choices, low-sodium, no-sugar, or just whatever fits someone's needs, and everyone eats together in a big dining room, with shady patios and a secure outdoor courtyard nearby for relaxing outside if people want some fresh air. The place is pet-friendly and lets cats and dogs stay with their owners, and there's help with pet care if needed, plus the home has a smoke-free policy, which matters to some people. Every day, the staff leads social activities, outings, reading groups in the cozy corners, exercises for both mind and body, and recreation with things like a piano for music or just space to talk and play games with visitors, so residents don't feel left out or alone. Laundry, housekeeping, grocery shopping, and errands are part of the services, and the staff gets trained to give not just physical care but emotional support, respecting each person's dignity and wishes, all in a setting that's smaller and feels less like an institution and more like a home with a friendly, family-like feeling. There's always a big focus on keeping everything clean, the atmosphere is described as warm and welcoming, and the community as a whole tries to help residents stay as independent as possible while joining in activities that give some purpose and joy to everyday living.

Clean comfortable staff, concerning policies
I toured this small, homely group home and found a clean, comfortable, close-knit community - bedrooms, kitchen, dining, laundry, TV room and yard were well-kept and dementia-friendly (keypad entry). Staff, especially Darlene, seemed knowledgeable, attentive, and good with medications, finances, one-on-one care and activities. My main concerns were a restrictive visitation policy, a money-focused vibe, and some troubling reports of poor care/communication that gave me pause.
