Unsafe, poorly managed nursing home
I appreciated that many aides and nurses were warm and attentive and the tour/dining staff were friendly, but overall this place felt unsafe and poorly managed. My mother was terrorized by a roommate, staff often did nothing, she developed bedsores, declined, was hospitalized and ultimately died under unclear circumstances - we involved police, the health department and the Justice Center. Security was lax (residents roaming or sleeping outside, heavy smoking), belongings and meds went missing, and administration was unresponsive. Rooms were small and institutional, cleanliness and grounds were uneven despite renovations; meals and activities were hit-or-miss. Not the right place for my mother.
