    Relieved, staff attentive; unclear pricing

I'm relieved my mom is here and the staff provide good, attentive care. The medication transfer to their pharmacy was a hassle, and pricing is unclear-I was told to ask questions but still don't know exactly what I'm paying for.

    About Presbyterian Residential Community

Presbyterian Residential Community sits on a secure 62-acre campus at 4300 Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford, NY, and offers living options for people 60 or older, where some will want a little help while others prize their independence, and folks can find both under one roof. The community's got assisted living spaces with private bedrooms and sometimes even kitchenettes, all designed to give as much freedom as possible, while still offering support with daily needs like bathing, dressing, medication, and moving around, and there's also a Wellness Center for folks who want to keep as active as they can. For those who need more care, Presbyterian Residential Community provides skilled nursing, memory care-including special help for Alzheimer's or dementia-and a dedicated area for Parkinson's care that uses telemedicine. There's a full range of services, like 24-hour supervision, medication management, housekeeping, laundry, grooming help, three chef-prepared meals every day, and assistance with transportation and parking, so people can get out or see friends and family without the fuss. Residents can enjoy social life and wellness, with things like a game room, library, fitness center, spa, movie nights, music and arts programs, walking paths, and gardens where folks can really spend time outdoors if they want, plus chaplain services and spots for worship, which a lot of people expect at a faith-based place. Community events are held all year, including fundraisers and conferences, and a calendar helps people keep track so they can join in. The social programs have even been recognized for being some of the best and the staff are known to be especially friendly and helpful, as shown by Most Friendly awards. For anyone staying at home but needing some help, Home Care is available through trained aides who can offer companionship and assist with non-medical needs, and there's also Social Adult Day Care for people who want engagement during the day but prefer to sleep at home at night. The living units offer private bathrooms, cable TV, air conditioning, telephones, Wi-Fi, and some units are wheelchair friendly, so folks don't have to give up comfort or convenience. Amenities include a beauty salon and barber, a community garden, dynamic activities set up by residents and staff, plus emergency alert systems and on-site emergency response for safety. There's a focus on health, with nutritious, allergy-sensitive meals, exercise programs, and a community wellness program that connects everyone to physical, social, mental, and spiritual activities. The campus works with a network of nonprofit groups, is a member of the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, and supports dementia resources, ministry programs, and community partnerships. Presbyterian Residential Community covers the full spectrum of care, from independent living to rehabilitation and adult day care, so people's needs are met as they change, and there's never any pressure to move somewhere else as care needs grow. Residents and their families can count on community support, a member benefits program, and resources for disaster recovery or aging concerns, all in a welcoming environment where people can live the way they want, with help when they need it.
