    About Castle Creek Memory Care

Castle Creek Memory Care, which is now closed, sat about 4.5 miles outside Murraysville in Castle Hayne, North Carolina, and served as a large senior living community focused on assisted living, memory care, and respite care for folks dealing with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, and you could see that the building itself held 84 beds, with studio-style rooms both private and shared, each one offering things like cable TV, Wi-Fi, telephones, and they made sure to include an emergency alert system for resident safety, which a lot of families found comforting. The staff would check in on residents for 12 to 16 hours each day, helping with medication management, daily living tasks like bathing and dressing, transfers, and non-ambulatory care for those who couldn't get around on their own, and there was a dementia waiver for those who needed even more specialized help. Castle Creek Memory Care tried to reduce confusion and wandering among residents with memory impairments, providing a secure environment, and the grounds held a secure yard for safe outdoor time plus walking paths and gardens. Inside, the rooms were known for being generous in size and comfortable, with common areas like a dining space where meals were served together and a movie theater, a game room, community and arts rooms, a music program, and a library so folks always had something to do, whether it was an arts activity or just enjoying a movie with friends. Housekeeping and move-in help came as part of the deal, and there was transportation available along with parking for residents and their families. The dining program offered restaurant-style meals, even for people who needed allergy-sensitive or diabetic diets, and there was an on-site chef. The community had wellness and fitness programs, a spa room, and, to encourage engagement and keep the mind sharp, staff ran daily activities and social opportunities, some tailored to specific interests or abilities. Castle Creek placed a special emphasis on personal dignity and safety, doing their best to help each resident feel independent while still getting all the support they needed, and they made the place feel warm and inviting by keeping it clean and even putting up uplifting biblical sayings around the building. Family support services offered help to residents' loved ones who needed guidance or a hand, and respite care gave family caregivers a break when needed. Staff watched over the community 24 hours a day, with a call system always ready, so people living there always had someone nearby if they needed help, though now, with the facility marked as closed, none of these services are currently available. Castle Creek Memory Care was the highest rated community of its kind in the area, averaging a 4.9 out of 10, and you could find a detailed map to see right where it used to be, but today there's no more active care, amenities, or programs offered since its closure.
