The Greenbriar Nursing Center sits in a welcoming community and offers several levels of care, like independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short-term rehab, a skilled memory unit, and hospice care, so people can find the right support as their needs change. Some pets are allowed, which is important for people who don't want to give up a companion animal. Every unit has Wi-Fi, cable TV, a telephone, and a small kitchenette, so residents can stay connected and manage small meals if they want to, and there's always someone available any time of day or night since nursing and care services run 24 hours. The main dining room uses a restaurant-style service, and there's help for people who need specialized diets, with nutrition and diet management available. Friends and family can call whenever they want, since each room has a private telephone. Private and semi-private rooms let residents choose what works best for them. You'll find a pleasant outdoor area for picnics and birdwatching, along with walking paths and gardens, so if you enjoy being outside, you can spend time there whenever the weather's nice. There's also a small library for reading, a full-service beauty salon, and space for movie nights, and the center offers a good mix of group activities, some run by the community and some planned by residents themselves.
West Lexington Place is part of the campus, providing bigger two-bedroom homes with garages, home security, and a 24-hour emergency call system, along with interior and exterior maintenance so people don't have to worry about taking care of anything themselves. Residents there get priority access to both the Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and The Suites. The Suites at The Greenbriar offer assisted living with 24-hour staff, medication management, private and semi-private suites, patios, courtyards, regular therapy services, and dining with meals that can be adjusted for special diets. For memory care, there's a secure area with safe patios and courtyards, plus special spaces designed for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's. They help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and moving around, and they watch over people to make sure everyone's safe.
The facility provides speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, and outpatient therapy for those needing extra help or post-hospital care, and there are services like ultrasound and electrical stimulation for certain medical needs. Skilled nursing staff offer round-the-clock care, which includes managing medications and giving extra supervision for health and safety. For mental health, there are support services and counseling for both residents and their families. Staff aim to treat everyone with respect, patience, kindness, and dignity, focusing on independence and helping people keep as much freedom and choice as possible. Greenbriar supports people with mild memory loss as well as those who need more specialized memory support, and has a system to respond quickly in emergencies.
The community has clean, updated buildings, strong leadership, and caring staff that try to keep up high standards, making sure people have a comfortable and safe place to live, with help close by and lots of ways to stay active and social with neighbors. In June 2025, out of 74 certified beds, there were 7 open, showing a medium-sized place that isn't too crowded. All in all, The Greenbriar Nursing Center gives several options for living and care, with attention to everyday needs, safety, and social opportunities, providing a steady environment where people can feel respected and cared for.
