    Nice community but staffing concerns

I moved into this beautiful, nearly-new community and appreciate the lovely apartments, great dining, engaging activities, and many warm, helpful staff (nurses like Misty and Tammy and activity director Leigh stood out). Management and nursing were responsive at times-move-in support and COVID protections were strong-but there are real issues: high staff turnover, understaffing (especially nights), inconsistent memory-care training, slow call-button response and occasional hygiene/neglect reports. Overall I'm happy with parts of the community but would strongly recommend touring thoroughly, asking about staffing/incident history, and checking references before deciding.

    About Traditions at Camargo

Traditions at Camargo offers several living options for seniors, with independent living, assisted living, and memory care services all in one place, so folks can stay as their needs change. The community is set up for people who might need more help, including those with memory problems like Alzheimer's or dementia, and they've built a secure area just for memory care in a separate building, using technology like bracelets and computerized alerts so people who wander are safe and accounted for. Staff are on duty all day and night, trained for incontinence care, help with moving around even if two caregivers or mechanical lifts are needed, and can administer medications, including insulin shots and blood sugar checks, though advanced diabetes care like sliding scale dosing might not be available. There's a full-time activity director planning things both on site and off, including devotional services at other places, and everyone will find indoor and outdoor spots to relax or socialize, like a cozy sunroom with a fireplace, bright gardens, and a lawn.

Meals are cooked by chefs and meal planners, and there are options for residents who want to keep a small dog or cat. Private apartments offer space for themselves, while shared areas let folks connect or enjoy activities together, and there's resident parking out back with easy building entry. The Madeira Traditions Senior Center Room gives seniors a place to meet and enjoy each other's company, with social, physical, mental, and emotional activities to keep busy. Security systems are strong, and staff have ways to catch if someone tries to go where they shouldn't, which helps families worry less about wandering or behavior problems. People can tour the community to see amenities including a theater room, home care from trained aides, and spaces designed to promote meaningful relationships and comfort. The community is open every day, and events or gatherings in special rooms are for residents and dedicated staff. Traditions at Camargo suits seniors looking for a place that adjusts to changing needs and values both safety and staying active.
