    Kind staff but inconsistent CNAs

I appreciated the kind, caring staff and the attentive care that eased my family's experience, but I was disappointed by inconsistent staff quality and some unprofessional CNAs that left me dissatisfied.

    About Lexington Nursing Home

Lexington Nursing Home, Inc. sits on SE 3rd Street in the rural town of Lexington, Oklahoma, and since 1977 it's been surrounded by farmland on three sides, which gives it a quiet and calm setting for seniors. The facility started in 1957, built by Mrs. Dora Lawson, and it continues today under the leadership of administrator Rick Horton, who oversees a team known for being caring and family-like. Lexington Nursing Home is a skilled nursing facility and serves seniors who need 24-hour medical care, including both short-term and long-term options for those with physical or mental health conditions that require steady support.

Residents get a homelike feel, and staff work to give everyone a warm atmosphere with plenty of love and compassion, making sure that care is based on each senior's needs. There's a dietary management team that makes from-scratch meals like biscuits and gravy, peeled potatoes, and okra, so meal times are flavorful and comforting. Therapies are a big part of life here, so folks get access to occupational therapy for things like swallowing, physical therapy for gait training and muscle re-education, and cognitive therapy to help with memory skills, all done with qualified medical staff. On-site health services include podiatry, dental, and vision care, which makes it easy for residents to get what they need without leaving the building.

Activities play a big part, too. There are programs for residents that include intergenerational events, family gatherings, barbecues, and even baseball games sometimes, which keep everyone engaged and bring the community together. There's always something going on, so no one feels left out or bored. The home offers financing options and different care levels with both nursing care and assisted living, making it possible for people to get support that matches their needs, and the staff stays focused on giving health and personal care tailored to everyone. With a 3.4 rating from reviews, Lexington Nursing Home still tries to go above accepted care standards, working hard to keep that warm, home-like atmosphere Mrs. Lawson started so long ago, offering seniors a place where daily well-being matters.
