    Warm, clean, welcoming community recommended

I moved my mom here and overall I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, caring and professional, the facility is beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the meals and dining options are good. There are abundant activities and amenities, quick move-in, attentive nurses, and communication that gave us real peace of mind. Staff made her feel at home, knew her name, and she's happier and more engaged. A few kinks: rooms can be small, there's some staff turnover and occasional responsiveness issues, and limitations around end-of-life care were a concern. Still, management was receptive and I highly recommend this well-run, welcoming community.

About The Stonehaven Assisted Living and Memory Care

The Stonehaven Assisted Living and Memory Care sits in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has built a good reputation for helpful staff, friendly service, and a community that makes people feel welcome, so families often say the workers act with kindness and joy and always help out when needed. The building looks clean and well-kept, and folks talk about the nice smell and the way staff members say hello, which helps visitors feel comfortable when they come through the doors, and many find that the award plaques for Best Activities, Best Meals, and Most Friendly are well-earned. Meals use quality ingredients and are served up in the Gold Leaf Dining room or the busy bistro, so residents get choices like vegetarian or low-sodium options and can eat with friends or family when they visit, and if someone prefers to eat alone, room service is available.

Stonehaven offers assisted living, memory care, independent living, home care, respite care, and personal care, and takes in older folks who need some help with bathing, dressing, and daily medicines, as well as people living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. Nurses and caregivers write up personal care plans after meeting the resident and keep the support steady day or night, so people get help when they need it and can still do things on their own when possible, and those who deal with memory loss get added safety and support, including programs made to reduce confusion and keep residents from wandering off. The staff leads activities for the mind and body, things like music groups, painting classes, Wii Sports Bowling, Dakim BrainFitness, walking clubs, devotional services, and visits from therapy dogs, so there's usually something to do both indoors and outdoors, and the calendar's always pinned up so no one forgets the next event.

The place was built with older adults in mind, with features like wide hallways, bathrooms designed for safety, and easy-to-find rooms, and there are studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, all on two floors, that let people keep their independence but get support when needed. There's a full-service salon, a living room area for sitting and chatting, a private dining room for special meals, a movie theater, and a kitchen for residents, plus a game room and communal spaces full of sunlight, and outside you'll find patios and a front porch with a fireplace where people can visit, get fresh air, or sit and relax.

Stonehaven accepts pets-so cats and dogs are welcome in private spaces-and the whole building has Wi-Fi and public transport options nearby, so getting around isn't a problem. The community gets reviewed for licensing twice a year and is a verified partner of A Place for Mom, so families can count on care that meets state requirements. There are transportation services for appointments and outings, along with weekly housekeeping, so daily chores don't get in the way of living a full life, and families often note the prompt response from staff when questions come up. Folks can take a tour, share a meal, and get a sense for daily life, with plenty of chances to see dining, wellness programs, and group activities in action.

Stonehaven's main focus lands on helping people keep their independence, find new friendships, and stay active, with supports in place when health needs change, so it works well for older adults in Tulsa and nearby towns who want a safe, lively community where care goes hand in hand with comfort and respect.
