    Homey campus, friendly staff, concerns

I chose this community for its beautiful, homey campus and welcoming, cheerful residents - the staff are friendly, attentive and often go above and beyond (Oksana, Marie and James impressed me). The independent cottages are lovely with full kitchens, included utilities, weekly housekeeping and three meals a day; the main building offers assisted living if needed. Dining is usually good and the grounds are delightful (birds, deer, colorful beds), but protein options felt processed for some and dining service can be slow. Be aware there's no transportation and cottages require mobility - winter and walker use could be difficult. My biggest concerns were management and maintenance responsiveness (delayed repairs, turnover) and occasional problems accessing assisted living or getting menu changes handled. Overall I'd recommend it but emphasize interviewing both the resident and the facility to make sure it's the right fit.
