    Caring staff, safe, excellent value

I moved my mom into Penn Home almost ten months ago and I'm very pleased. It's a small, historic, home-like community in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful gardens and walking paths; residents are happy and the atmosphere feels safe. Staff are warm, personable and professional - nursing is top-notch (Jeannie went above and beyond) and care is well coordinated - though after-hours callbacks can be slow and physical therapy resources are limited. Rooms and bathrooms are clean but a bit dated; meals are professionally prepared and the dining area is warm, if the variety is sometimes limited. As a non-profit with reasonable pricing, it's excellent value - I no longer worry about her needs and I highly recommend Penn Home.
