    Overcrowded unsafe filthy indifferent staff

I placed my loved one here and it's been a living hell: overcrowded, poorly maintained rooms, residents left staring at violent TV with no outside activities, staff rude/unprofessional and sometimes yelling, and I personally saw signs suggesting a bedbug problem and blood-stained sheets. A few supervisors seemed caring and there's supposed 24/7 support, but repeated hospital visits, safety concerns and indifferent, money-driven staff make this place unacceptable in my experience.

    About Tabor Manor

Tabor Manor sits in Philadelphia and offers many types of care for seniors who might be looking for a place where they can live as independently as possible but still have support when they need it, and the place covers independent living, assisted living, memory care, respite care, and care home services, with single bedrooms and small studios laid out so folks have enough room to get around without it feeling too big or too cramped, and the place is set up to help people who want to live by themselves or share space, and there's always help nearby. Staff are on duty day and night, ready to help with things like getting dressed, bathing, or moving from a bed to a wheelchair, and they check on everybody's health regularly, including helping with medications, checking in on insulin for diabetes, and helping people who need reminders for the bathroom or escorting them up and down the hallways, which is handy for people with mobility issues. There's a program that helps people with Parkinson's disease and another for memory care, and they get special attention and therapy, and the staff is known for being kind and helpful, which makes a difference when you need a little extra patience. They've got meal plans with menus that take dementia into account, and they help at mealtimes if you need help eating, and if you need special foods for health reasons, the staff will sort that out, and they also handle all the laundry and linens, so that's a load off your mind.

People can try all sorts of activities, from arts and crafts to movie nights to game room matches, and there are music programs, wellness rooms, a spa and even gardening spots if you like being outside, and there are indoor common areas for socializing, plus a library if you want to sit and read, and they've got a fitness room, a business room, and walking paths so folks can stay active at any pace, and a chapel for when folks want some quiet or spiritual time. If someone needs a hair cut or shave, there's a barber and salon on site, and they even offer massage therapy now and then, and there's always some type of educational program or group activity going on, with lots of chances to get out and do things - since transportation is available for errands and doctors, and residents can join in community events when they want. The building is modern with safety features like in-room emergency systems and a 24-hour call system, and staff give each resident a service assessment to match what kind of help or therapy will work best, including skilled nursing care and occupational therapy, and they offer rehabilitation right there too. Families who need some time can use the respite program for short stays, and people can choose to just visit or stay for a longer time, and everything's arranged to give an atmosphere that's secure and supportive for whoever moves in.
