Country View Manor offers several types of care and places a strong focus on the daily needs of seniors, so you'll find assisted living, memory care for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, independent living for active seniors, and respite care options if someone only needs to stay a short while, and they also have something called a rest home with health care incidental and a personal care home with health care, and the caregivers watch over residents around the clock, keeping medication management, bathing, dressing, and transfers handled for those who need help, which is a comfort to both residents and their families, and you'll see furnished rooms, both private and shared, looking like a cozy home with things like telephones, an emergency alert system, and plenty of resident-centered touches, and they've made sure the community feels like a family where people support each other and staff offer care with a smile and even a hug, since that's how they make sure everyone feels special and included, and the dining options make things easier with all-day dining and meals that fit special diets, including diabetic and allergy-friendly choices, and these get served in a communal dining room with restaurant-style service, and there are also spaces like a library, arts room, a spot for movie nights, a barber and salon, walking paths and a garden, so people can stay social and active, and they run activities and let residents start their own so everyone finds something to do, and transportation and laundry help keep daily life convenient, and counseling and fitness programs are offered, along with medical support to keep up health and wellness, and the outside of the property has space for outdoor time, which many residents enjoy, and they say they don't turn anyone away because of race, color, religion, gender, or language, and staff work hard to communicate with everyone, even those with Limited English Proficiency, so you know the place is inclusive, and they do regular training to stick close to all the rules about fair admissions and services, and the state verified their license through 07/18/2025, plus, they promise to keep a good caregiver-to-senior ratio to give the right level of attention, and for those who want, there's home care with trained aides helping seniors stay at their own place, and all of this comes together to create a safe, supportive, and understanding environment where people are treated with dignity and respect every day.
Caring staff but meal concerns
I placed my mom here and, overall, I'm grateful for the kind, gracious staff who really create a family atmosphere and go above and beyond - clean facility, a private room (shared bath) where she could bring her own furniture, plenty of daily activities (painting, bowling, country rides) and medical/supportive caregiving that initially made her more active and happier. That said, we were unhappy with the meals and diabetic diet, and at times felt she didn't get enough hands-on care; she became withdrawn and combative and often didn't participate in activities. On balance the staff are caring and attentive, but check food/care plans closely for your loved one.
