    Warm, family-like care; small rooms

I feel at home here - the staff are warm, caring and treat residents like family, and the place is clean with lovely gardens and inviting common areas. Meals are homestyle and tasty, there are lots of activities and outings, and memory care on-site is convenient with personalized programs. My main drawback: rooms are smaller than at other places and administrative paperwork can be tedious. Overall I highly recommend Morning Pointe for its friendly, well-organized, family-like atmosphere.

    About Morning Pointe of Columbia

Morning Pointe of Columbia sits at 2050 Union Pl in Columbia, Tennessee, and offers one-story living with a community feel, where seniors can choose from studio, alcove, and one-bedroom suites, and, even if there isn't much known about parking details or the insides of the apartments, you'll find the grounds have courtyards full of flowers, a tiered fountain, well-kept landscaping, and paved walkways, while inside there's a dining room with large bright windows and brown linens on the tables, a cozy library with bookshelves and a terrarium, and a welcoming porch out front with white rocking chairs and fall décor. The facility specializes in assisted living, memory care for residents with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, respite care for short-term stays, independent living for those who want a vibrant community, and skilled nursing care for higher medical needs, with staff and licensed nurses giving 24-hour support, healthcare oversight, medication help, incontinence management, and help with bathing, dressing, grooming, moving around, and going to meals and events. Morning Pointe serves nutritious, chef-prepared meals, and can tailor diets for needs like no-salt-added or reduced sugar, and residents can bring their dogs or cats, which means pet-friendly policies are in place. Residents can take part in daily activities, exercise programs, group outings, and both on-site and off-site devotional activities, and professional caregivers try to match folks with activities that fit their interests, including special programs for different stages of memory loss to keep things familiar and joyful. Transportation is available, both complimentary and for a fee, and the place aims to make things as safe and home-like as possible, especially for folks with memory needs, using structured routines and spaces that try to prevent wandering and reduce confusion. Families and residents get a lot of choice about how much support is needed, and the community design tries to help older adults live as independently as possible, making Morning Pointe of Columbia a place that covers a wide range of care and comfort options for seniors, but there's not much public detail about rental terms or the exact types of other properties in the building, so folks may need to ask for extra specifics.
