    Caring staff, clean rooms, excellent

My mother moved into this small, family-owned place and we couldn't be happier. The caring, competent staff treat residents like family - superb care team - and my mom absolutely loves it. Rooms are roomy, clean, and accommodate personal furniture with good privacy in a peaceful country setting; food is delicious (cafeteria-style) and the facility is up-to-date. I highly endorse it as one of the best in West TN.

About Oak Haven Assisted Care Living Facility

Oak Haven Assisted Care Living Facility sits on a hill in Huron, Tennessee, surrounded by oak trees and overlooking the green landscape, and this peaceful setting has helped residents feel at home ever since Max and Sally Stanfill opened the doors back in June 1996, when Lillie Mae Williams and Mary Blanch Stanfill became the first two to call it home. Max Stanfill serves as administrator, and the facility's been owned and operated by the Stanfill family for over 17 years, focusing on a nurturing, home-like environment where folks can get as much independence as possible while still having help close by for things like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine. Every room, whether it's a furnished studio or an unfurnished private space, comes with support like medication reminders, laundry service seven days a week, and housekeeping, plus a telephone and emergency alert system for safety. The staff, known to be friendly and skilled, help with everyday needs around the clock, including diabetes care, incontinence care, transfers, and non-ambulatory care, with nurses and caregivers on site at all hours.

Oak Haven has both assisted living and memory care programs, so residents with cognitive changes get extra attention, and everyone has a personalized care plan made just for them. Meals are freshly cooked every day-three a day-with special options for allergies or diabetes, and folks can join in community dining, relax in lounges, walk beautiful paths, or sit out front on the porch to listen to the birds and watch the sunrise. There's a garden, a dedicated arts room, a community salon, and spaces set aside for meditation, fellowship, and worship; plus, twice every Sunday, there are church services, and afternoons usually bring a movie in the lounge. The activity calendar offers off-site outings, transportation for appointments or exploring the area, resident-run events, and daily programs meant to keep people engaged and social, and staff are purposeful about helping everyone keep up with hobbies, stay connected, and find new interests.

With its high rating of 9.4 out of 10, Oak Haven is known for the way residents and families talk about the supportive feeling you sense right away, helped along by a team that's joyful, kind, and always nearby. The facility works to keep things simple and comfortable-offering beauty and barber services, pharmacy support, and tailored care-so long-term residents and their families get ongoing help. Oak Haven is tied to the Tennessee Health Care Association and offers CNA training for caregivers. People who want to live life fully yet need help with daily tasks find Oak Haven's quiet setting and personalized, steady approach helpful, especially for seniors who value dignity, home-cooked meals, a steady helping hand, and the sound of the oaks outside.
