    Beautiful facility, caring staff, unsuitable

I toured Heritage Place and liked the beautiful, well-maintained building, modern/homelike decor, clean common areas, good-sized rooms, safe grounds, and active residents. The staff were caring, friendly and went above and beyond-treating residents like family and keeping families updated with photos and activities. One downside for us: phone/communication was spotty and they couldn't accommodate my husband's current needs, so it's not an option right now.

About The Arbors at Heritage Place

The Arbors at Heritage Place sits in Lexington, Tennessee, and offers a steady and supportive home for seniors who need help with daily living, as well as those living with memory loss. The community provides private and semi-private rooms that come fully furnished, with kitchenettes, cable TV, WiFi, and telephone service, plus housekeeping and linen support to keep things tidy and comfortable, and the staff there, who they call care partners, are always around to meet each person's unique needs and preferences with a friendly approach. Meals get cooked fresh each day, and folks can sit with friends in a restaurant-style dining room while the kitchen team makes sure to meet special diets, including needs like diabetes. There's always coffee in the cozy seating nooks, and the common areas-with gardens and secure patios-make it easy for residents to find quiet or join in on a chat; the outdoor spaces let people enjoy some fresh air or take part in activities out under the trees whenever the weather's nice.

Safety gets taken seriously, with 24-hour supervision, a round-the-clock call system, and healthcare staff on site at all times, plus they help with medication, coordinate care with local doctors, and support personal care like bathing, dressing, or moving about as needed. The Arbors at Heritage Place runs both assisted living and memory care, which means there are options for independent seniors, people who need a little extra help, and those needing thoughtful, specialized care for Alzheimer's or dementia, and they use something known as the Best Friends™ Approach for memory care to help residents build supportive connections and keep their minds active. Programs for well-being include fitness classes, mental wellness activities, devotional gatherings, live music, bible study, pet therapy, and community-sponsored events where everyone can join in, plus there's a wellness center with exercise equipment for staying active. Residents can get to medical appointments using the transportation services, and pharmacy delivery is available right to the facility thanks to Pegasus Express Pharmacy. There's a focus on personal happiness and flourishing in mind, body, and soul, with a calendar full of activities that takes into account all areas of wellness, even cultural events and engagement with local volunteers and intergenerational programs. The Arbors welcomes short-term respite stays, too, offering relief for caregivers or families who need a helping hand for just a little while.

Families get open communication with eldercare advisors, which helps everyone stay informed and comfortable with care decisions. The setting stays pet friendly, so residents can keep their companions close, which brings in a little extra joy. The community sits near Henderson County Community Hospital, Christian Family Medicine Inc., Lexington Medical Center, and other health care providers, as well as parks, restaurants like Zaxby's, and churches, making it easy to stay connected to the things that matter. Americare Senior Living runs The Arbors at Heritage Place, and they take pride in providing a place where seniors can feel at home, stay engaged, and get the right amount of help-never too much and never too little-with a balance of independence, comfort, and support.
