    Clean homey community, excellent nursing

I found this small, homey community clean and well-kept, with nicely decorated apartments (walk-in shower and closet), good food, and a true family atmosphere. The staff were friendly, caring, and attentive - excellent 24/7 nursing care that gave me peace of mind. My caveats: management can be disorganized or rude, and there have been maintenance/security and administrative lapses, so check policies, staffing, and costs before committing.

    About Hickory Gardens

Hickory Gardens Senior Living sits at 527 W Old Hickory Blvd and offers assisted living, independent living, memory care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and respite care, all aimed to give seniors a place where they can thrive and feel at home, so you'll find living spaces that are roomy and easy to get around in, plenty of amenities-like Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and kitchenettes-that help with comfort and accessibility, and the rooms work well for both folks who need a little help and those who want to live mostly on their own. The care team, called care partners, stays friendly and is always around, day or night, because the support goes 24 hours a day for residents who might need help with things such as medication, meal prep, and personal care, and to meet unique needs, they offer customized care plans that change as residents' needs shift, whether it's for chronic conditions, recovering from illness, or just occasional support after an injury or surgery. There's a focus on healthy meals, some served restaurant style and some brought to rooms if needed, with options for special diets, like meals with no sugar or for guests, so even if residents don't want to come to the dining room they still get cared for. Along with care there's a full calendar of activities and events meant to keep mind and body active, with spaces set up for socializing or quiet time, and the community tries to keep a welcoming and warm feeling so new residents can settle in and find friends if they want to. The facility's got therapy and home health solutions that can bring expert care right into private rooms for residents who might be recovering from surgery or handling long-term health issues, and staff coordinate with doctors and providers to keep care consistent. Residents with memory care needs can get help from staff who know how to respond to dementia and related challenges in a way that keeps dignity and safety in mind. The user rating is high, with 4.9 out of 7 reviews, and people tend to mention the helpful staff, clean spaces, and the sense of community that's been built up over time. Services run all day and all week, and the place uses CloudFront technology that helps with managing online requests for things like family who visit the community's website at americareusa.net/senior-living/tn/madison/hickory-gardens, so even folks far away can get updates or learn more. There are no claims to perfection here, but Hickory Gardens does offer a range of care and personal comfort features for seniors at different stages in life, and the staff focus on supporting residents' health, comfort, and peace of mind in ways that fit each one's needs.
