    Warm home-like community, communication concerns

I'm very pleased with the warm, home-like community - friendly, compassionate staff (Monica and Julie), professional care with good equipment, large clean rooms, well-maintained grounds, tasty restaurant-style meals and steady activities (bingo, church, trips). My main concerns are poor corporate communication, low staff pay/need for more certified workers and some repair issues; overall I recommend this place but advise families to stay engaged about notifications and moves.

    About Wesley Fountain Place

Wesley Fountain Place is a newer senior living community with 36 units, so there's always a familiar face around and the staff can really focus on each person. The place looks nice with a bright lobby that's got a waterfall, plenty of places to sit and talk, and activity tables for games or chatting. There's a chapel right onsite for quiet moments or worship and a Chaplin who helps with spiritual care, plus the area churches get involved each week. The facility keeps busy with group walks, a walking club, fitness trails, and exercise programs, and they often hold educational classes about health, computers, finances, or memory care, all taught by certified staff. Residents can join in social outings, watch a movie on the big screen in the community center, enjoy the music system, or just relax with friends over coffee, juice, sherbet, or even ice cream.

The staff has certifications in nursing, dementia care, social work, property management, and service coordination, which helps everyone get the care they need and keeps things running smoothly. Every resident gets a personal care plan, and the team helps with daily tasks like bill paying, cooking, cleaning, medicine management, and laundry, but always tries to keep people's privacy intact. The caregivers help with bathing, dressing, or whatever is needed, and you can choose care on a daily, weekly, or monthly plan. There's a dining area that does congregate meals, with stations for coffee, cold drinks, fruit, and snacks, and a chef prepares meals daily. The building's got a beauty and barber shop with a licensed stylist coming in twice a week, and there's always time for gardening on the patio when the weather's good.

Residents can bring pets, enjoy walking paths, and use indoor common areas like the library or lounges. Security is a focus with access control, security cameras, and an emergency call system. Every apartment has controlled heat and air, utilities, and cable TV included, with backup generators and high-efficiency systems for power and comfort. If someone needs a ride to the store, to a doctor's appointment, or to an outing, complimentary transportation is available. The staff provides assistance as much or as little as a resident needs, with special attention to end-of-life or hospice services when required. Social events, worship services, and Bible studies happen throughout the week, so residents and families can stay connected spiritually and emotionally.

Wesley Fountain Place keeps a calm, smoke-free environment and offers support through the Golden Cross Senior Ministry, including help for emergencies or holidays. It's certified for quality and good service by groups that check on these things, and it's connected with the Greater Gibson County Area Chamber of Commerce. Information about membership, applications, and benefits can be found online, along with a directory. The community tries to help residents feel at home and give them what they need for a happy, supported retirement without the stress of everyday chores. They say that people feel like they belong here and celebrate every occasion that comes along, which helps keep life full and social.
