The Capstone At Mt. Juliet - CLOSED

The Capstone At Mt. Juliet, located at 3125 North Mt. Juliet Road in Mt. Juliet, TN, is now closed, but before closing, this two-story senior living community offered a variety of care types, including assisted living, memory care, independent living, and skilled nursing, and the place had room for up to 114 residents with 88 suites that came in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, and the accommodations were called "suites" and included things like cable TV, air conditioning, high-speed internet, and telephone in the rooms, with options for furnished spaces and emergency alert systems for added safety. This community offered specialized care and support for seniors who wanted to remain independent but needed a bit of help, and there were services for daily tasks like bathing, dressing, transfers, incontinence care, and getting medication on time, and they also provided non-ambulatory care and coordinated with outside healthcare providers. For seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia, Capstone had a secure memory care neighborhood through the Generations Memory Care program, which meant 24-hour support, specialized activities, reminiscence programs, and a cognitive learning center, all designed to help residents stay as independent as possible while still being safe, and there was a dementia waiver, along with support for mild cognitive impairment. Residents could join fitness programs such as stretching and chair yoga, enjoy organized social events like movie nights, karaoke, wine tasting, art and garden clubs, plus celebrate holidays together, with faith-based services and devotional activities made available too. The community offered restaurant-style dining led by a professional chef, scheduled transportation services for appointments or errands, and housekeeping and laundry services to help keep things simple, and the building itself had large windows for natural light, outdoor patios, walking trails, a dog park, a gazebo, sunroom, bistro lounge, fitness center, chapel, and several different gathering areas, including formal and informal dining rooms, and gardens bordered by brick columns and wrought iron fencing, with outdoor terraces and balconies on a brick façade. Pets were welcome, and each resident could take part in daily activities, participate in volunteer programs, and make use of on-site amenities like the spa, beauty salon, cable or satellite TV, and Wi-Fi. Capstone supported independent living with maintenance-free apartments, community-sponsored activities, and a range of health services, and it also provided skilled nursing for residents who needed more help, including medical care, rehabilitation, and wound care around the clock. The Capstone at Mt. Juliet was part of the Integrate Senior Living and Solstice Senior Living network and listed community names like Oak Cottage, and it had a program director, Jovany Guerra, who received an excellence in service award. The community planned to reopen in late 2023, but at present, it remains closed, and it joined a group of other senior living communities in the region, each with its own care offerings and services.
