    Compassionate care, serious billing issues

I found the staff compassionate, attentive and loving, the little ranch-style home impeccably clean with good meals, pets on the porch, and true 1-on-1, 24-hour care that met physical, emotional and spiritual needs. That said, my experience was marred by a serious billing dispute - an upfront $6,000 charge, being billed three months' rent after a 34-hour stay, unclear extra fees, and a refused refund despite what I felt was misrepresentation by a staff member. There was also a resident death and limited visiting hours that added to my distress. Bottom line: excellent day-to-day care and staff, but verify the contract, fees and refund policy before committing.

About A Cedar Park Personal Care Home

A Cedar Park Personal Care Home sits at 5 Anderson Crossing in Cedar Park, Texas, and has served seniors since August 22, 2016, and the place runs as a sole proprietorship managed by Ms. Cynthia Villasenor, focusing on personalized care for seniors who want support in a home-like setting, and people usually find comfort with the smaller group of residents because it lets caregivers know everyone well and makes the atmosphere feel close-knit and familiar instead of like a big facility, and it's good for senior elders wanting high-quality home care in the Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Round Rock areas. The staff helps folks with daily needs like dressing, bathing, grooming, medication reminders, cooking, cleaning, and companionship, and the care plans here fit each person's needs, covering both regular personal care and memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia which aims to reduce confusion and help keep seniors safe from wandering. Residents can bring their pets, and there are specialty meal options, Wi-Fi, handicap accessibility, and laundry facilities, plus one or two onsite meals each day. The home uses live-in caregivers for help around the clock, and those wanting more independence can get services like housekeeping and laundry in a setup that feels like an apartment but has 24-hour supervision, and these independent living units suit active seniors over 55 or 62, so everyone shares similar interests and needs. Eligibility and costs depend on the type of care, including special Alzheimer's or dementia support, where expenses can be higher-sometimes three times the standard rate for seniors over 65-but some federal and state programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and social security disability might offset those costs, and the care home gets oversight from the Texas Health & Human Services Commission and works with SNAP programs. The property isn't BBB accredited, but it tries to provide a safe, caring environment with planning around each resident's schedule and requirements, and it serves a mix of folks looking for simple help with independent living all the way to people needing full-time assistance, so families can pick whatever suits their loved one best.
