Arlington Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center sits in Fort Worth, TX, and follows the principle of treating people the way you'd want to be treated yourself, which you can feel in the way staff do their jobs each day. The facility belongs to a large network connected across Texas, including Sava Senior Care, so there's a wide base of experience, and their staff work as a team because, as they say, it takes a team to provide strong care. They've got a range of health and rehabilitation services, including skilled nursing, short-term rehab, long-term care, assisted living, vent care, and even in-house dialysis, so folks with complex health needs can find support here. Memory and dementia care, including Alzheimer's services, are set up for those who need it, and they handle things like cardiac care, diabetes management, stroke recovery, wound care, surgery recovery, and therapies like physical, occupational, and speech therapy. You'll find personal care plans for each resident, hospice services when they're needed, and staff who try to make the place feel like home, keeping things comfortable and treating residents with respect and dignity. Veterans Affair services are available, along with extra supports like medication management and transportation, so people can get to medical appointments. There's laundry, housekeeping, nutrition services, beauty and barber care, podiatry, dentistry, and optometry visits, and both religious services and activities to keep folks engaged. Staff get training through an online learning system and some can move from LVN to RN with their career bridge program. Arlington Heights offers a 401K program with a small employer match and a PTO plan that improves the longer someone stays, and employees get a range of insurance options. Security measures are in place for their website too, for anyone worried about online safety. They work hard to give people good care, focusing on comfort, health, and individual needs, so if you're looking for a place with a lot of medical services rolled together and the basics handled-like housekeeping, meals, and activities-this center provides those, with a particular focus on treating everyone the way they'd want their own family treated.

Excellent rehab but poor safety
I had a mixed experience. The nurses, therapists and some staff were compassionate and skilled - rehab/OT/PT was excellent and meals/activities helped - but many aides were inattentive, call lights were slow, meds were sometimes delayed or mishandled, and safety was a real concern (falls, pressure-sores, lost dentures/glasses/walker). The facility is dated, often smelled, and cleanliness/communication were inconsistent; valuables went missing for us. Management and a few leaders responded well at times, but care quality is uneven - advocate strongly if you go here.
