    About Sunrise of Frisco

Sunrise of Frisco sits in a warm, Mediterranean-style building with inviting entrances and bistro areas filled with fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, and juice, and you'll find cozy common spaces, outdoor seating, gardens, a gazebo, and a big wrap-around porch with rocking chairs where folks spend time visiting or just relaxing. You'll see a resident rescue dog named Astro who's been part of the community for years, and the place allows pets for residents too, so there's a friendly and easy feeling about it. Residents get help when needed, like assistance with daily tasks in the assisted living area or the Reminiscence neighborhood for those who need memory care because of Alzheimer's or dementia, and there are custom plans for everyone so each person's needs are met, which means that people get cognitive engagement activities and social events but can still keep their independence when they're able. Sunrise of Frisco has a staff that includes nurses, doctors on call, physical, speech, and occupational therapists, podiatrists, dentists, and two-person transfers or Hoyer Lifts for safety in case a resident needs extra help, with 24/7 coverage to deal with emergencies. The community offers respite care for folks who need a short stay to recover after a hospital visit, as well as skilled nursing, hospice care, adult day care, Dignity Home Care, and even independent living and continuing care for elders who don't need help but want a lively place to live. You'll find kitchenettes in the homes, a theater, Wi-Fi, accessible showers, secure patios, roomy backyards, and parking set up for residents, making it a flexible and friendly place where people can keep their routines, see friends, and enjoy outdoor or indoor activities, educational programs, movies, and charity work. Staff focus on restoring and supporting residents' dignity and self-esteem, and devotional services are available onsite or offsite for those who want them, while community social life is front and center with planned events and award-winning programming meant to get people talking, laughing, and staying active. The place is licensed in Texas as a Class B Assisted Living site with Alzheimer's certification, has resources to help families plan care, and is always set up to give a safe, comfortable environment with both male and female residents accepted in certain service groups. Everything is designed to avoid the feel of a big, confusing institution, preferring a warm, family-like setting that keeps people connected and less lonely, and folks can tour to see what daily life, dining, and activities are really like at Sunrise of Frisco.

    About Sunrise Senior Living

Beginning with a single community in 1981, there are now more than 280 Sunrise Senior Living communities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Each of our communities maintains the mission laid out by Sunrise founders Paul and Terry Klaassen more than 40 years ago: to champion quality of life for all seniors. The Klaassens’ vision to redefine senior care resulted in a resident-centered approach to care that focuses on the individuality of each resident and has set the standard in the assisted living industry. We are defined by our people. Our team of serving hearts are guided by our mission, Principles of Service and Values – all of which help encourage independence, preserve dignity and enable freedom of choice for each resident.
