    Compassionate professional dementia care home

I moved my mom here and have nothing but gratitude. The high staff-to-resident ratio, RNs with dementia expertise, attentive caregivers and 24-hour med supervision give us real peace of mind; hospice coordination is seamless when needed. It's a beautiful, home-like place with private rooms, well-maintained indoor/outdoor spaces, family-style home-cooked meals, and a proactive activities director who keeps residents engaged. Staff are warm, low-turnover, communicative and treat residents like family - I highly recommend this compassionate, professional home.

    About Tiffin House

Tiffin House sits on five peaceful acres, with trees and flowers all around both homes so seniors can enjoy plenty of outdoor beauty, and you'll see spacious, single-story homes designed to feel like a family home, with big bedrooms, a shared living room, a dining table everyone can gather at, and family touches like antique pictures, home decorations, and a cozy fireplace that makes the place feel welcoming and real home-like. Residents with dementia or Alzheimer's get care in buildings built from the ground up for their needs, with private rooms, air conditioning, security cameras, bed alarms, a tall cedar fence, door alarms, and fire safety systems designed to keep everyone safe, day and night, and the place is Alzheimer's certified by the State of Texas with License No. 148711 and Facility ID 104055, so you know the focus is on quality care.

The staff here includes registered nurses, caregivers, an activity director named Nancy, a quality care director, and doctors who visit, and everyone's trained-by the owners, too-to help residents with memory loss, treat everyone with care and compassion, sit down and talk with people at eye level, and provide personal attention since there are more staff than usual, especially during the day, always watching out for everybody's needs, with a ratio better than three residents for every direct staff member during the day, and no more than five at night. The staff help with medication, bathing, dressing, and cooking up diet-approved, home-cooked meals right in a kitchen next to the living spaces so the smell of real food fills the house, and everything's included in the set price, no extra fees popping up each month, with payments starting at $8,000 for memory care and assisted living and the option to use long-term care insurance, plus prices are fixed for a year to help families plan.

They've created programs and activities that feel like daily family life-organized group and individual events, outdoor walks, gardening in raised beds, sitting on the porch under the covered patio, bird watching, reading devotions, helping water the plants, giving treats to the Tiffin puppy dogs, singing, reading the newspaper, and sometimes trips into town for dinner or a treat, or just sitting together talking, all on a large, quiet property that's built more like "Grandma's House" than a regular care facility. There's a beauty parlor, a big recreational room, outdoor gazebos, a porch, front and back yards, and even peach trees in the garden. Residents can have visits from family any time, since everyone's encouraged to stay connected, and the staff love to share in special moments, creating a cheerful and friendly atmosphere where music sometimes plays to help people relax and just feel comfortable and safe.

Assisted living, memory care for people with Alzheimer's and dementia, and hospice care get offered in a way that covers everything-rooming, laundry, medication supervision, transportation, therapy, restorative care, access to home health, and even specialty end-of-life support in partnership with hospice providers, always keeping accurate medical records and making sure each person's needs are met from start to finish. The campus stays prepared with emergency power from generators and has a security system with cameras, front and back yards fenced for privacy, and alarms on exits and in bedrooms to help keep residents safe if they get disoriented or walk off. The owners and staff have 60 years combined experience, give family education about dementia, and lead a team that tries to make every resident feel comfortable, safe, and loved, with no a la carte charges-just simple, all-in care, and a mission to keep the environment as homey and reassuring as possible.
